Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel Bangkok adds Japanese izakaya to its outstanding culinary repertoire with the opening of Ki Izakaya.

Long appreciated in Japan as welcoming spots for afterwork drinks and casual fare for friends and colleagues, Ki Izakaya offers the convivial atmosphere of the famous alleyway izakayas of Osaka and Tokyo blended with Kempinski’s signature style and elegance.

“Ki” can mean “mood” and “flavour”, while “izakaya” means “stay-drink-place”. Together, Ki Izakaya is a place that brings the best in mood and flavours that make guests want to stay and drink. Visitors to Ki Izakaya will be immerse in an authentic izakaya experience with cheerful lighting, city views, and cosy seating that also includes a communal table for making new friends. The friendly ambiance is complemented by an impressive selection of highballs, whiskies, and sakes as well as craft and draught beers to choose from. To accompany the beverages, Chef Hiroyuki Yokoyama has developed an extensive menu of small plates and snacks from such traditional fare as edamame and dashimaki to heartier grilled and fried favourites of yakitori and age to must-try specials like Hokkaido Soy Milk Hot Pot with wagyu beef and blue swimmer crab.

Chef Hiroyuki Yokoyama brings his experience from award-winning eateries around the world to Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel Bangkok. After enhancing his Japanese culinary expertise with skills and techniques from restaurants in France, Vietnam, and Australia, Chef Hiroyuki took the helm local Bangkok restaurant known for healthy, wholesome Japanese and western dishes.
