Mr. Jim Rice

Deputy Director of MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics

Prior to joining MIT, Jim managed manufacturing and distribution operations at Procter & Gamble, and served as a sales and market manager at General Electric Company. Jim earned his MBA in Operations and Finance from the Harvard Business School, and a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame located in the undulating hills of northern Indiana.

Prior to joining MISI, Dr. Feizabadi worked in automotive industry for eight years on aligning supply chain with the firm’s business strategy. He has a B.S. in industrial management, a M.S. in Industrial Management – Majored in Operations Research and a PhD in Operations Management from University of Tehran, Iran. He is honored to be ranked first in nation-wide PhD and MS entrance examination. Dr. Feizabadi also worked as research associate at IMD Switzerland and has been an MIT visiting professor.
