Over the past 10 years, the Philippine Financial & Inter-Industry Pride (PFIP) has been a leader in fostering LGBTQ+ inclusivity across industries in the Philippines. From five founding members, we have expanded to over 80 members, setting a standard for excellence in the workplace. Our commitment to inclusive practices has not only bridged the gap between business and advocacy but has also set a standard for excellence in the workplace.

Looking ahead, PFIP remains steadfast in its mission to lead with pride and excellence. We are dedicated to breaking new ground by collaborating with academic institutions to nurture an LGBTQ+ inclusive talent pipeline and working with NGOs to create safer spaces in society. Our vision is to continue challenging the boundaries of stigma and discrimination, ensuring that our workplaces and communities reflect the true spirit of equality.

The PFIP Anniversary Gala is our annual celebration of PFIP's milestones as the preeminent LGBTQ+ organization of the Philippine corporate pride community. Program highlights include the renewal of member companies' commitment to PFIP's mission and vision (via the signing of the Pledge of Support), induction of new members, and the announcement of the Philippine Bahaghari Awards winners. In attendance are industry leaders, executive champions, Pride network representatives, DEIB and HR practitioners, and equality allies and advocates supporting the business sector.

BLACK & WHITE 2.0: Rewriting the Rules for Corporate Pride

If something is black and white, it is clear and distinct. To spell things out in black and white is to say exactly what one thinks. Black and white can also mean rules and expectations are totally clear among concerned parties. When it is very clear who or what is right and wrong, then the situation is black and white.

Much like our belief in the importance of DEIB in the workplace: it is simply the right thing to do. And while we face new challenges, we remain steadfast in our commitment to do right by our community--even if it means rewriting the rules of the game.

But it's also been said that opposites attract, so while black and white are quintessentially opposite, they complete each other.

Contrast creates completion: The convergence of black and white--more so than any other color combination--is an example of how two divergent colors communicate more powerfully together than they do on their own. This is similar to all of us coming together--characterized by our own diversity but now linked inextricably through the power of our one PFIP community.

Through our collective efforts, we will forge ahead towards a #Limitless future and redefine corporate pride, for our organizations and for our people.

3rd Philippine Bahaghari Awards

PFIP's Philippine BAHAGHARI Awards is a platform to recognize the exemplary contributions of organizations and individuals that are leading the charge in promoting diversity, equity, inclusion and belongingness in the workplace. Their examples set the standard and serve as inspiration for the corporate pride community.

The following categories are decided on by an independent body of jurors:

The PFIP Board of Trustees confers the BAHAGHARI Champion Award to notable role models and/or allies of the PFIP community and the PRIDE Advocacy of The Year to an LGBTQ+ organization that supports PFIP's mission and vision.

This year, we are also introducing two popular categories, to be voted on by the PFIP community:

Nomination Guidelines:

The Philippine Bahaghari Awards is open to companies and organizations that are duly registered and are operating legally in the Philippines. The Awards is open to companies and organizations of all sizes, from all industries, and whether member or non-member of PFIP.

Independent judges from the business, academe, and advocacy sectors will select the most qualified winners for the four competitive categories: PRIDE LGBTQ+ Leader of The Year, PRIDE Executive Ally of The Year, PRIDE Network of The Year, and PRIDE Company of the Year. Members of the PFIP Board of Trustees are not allowed to be part of this judging panel, nor are they eligible to be nominated in the individual competitive categories.

NOMINATION PERIOD IS FROM AUGUST 19 - SEPTEMBER 06, 2024. Download the nomination form here. Please note, submission of nomination forms is FREE OF CHARGE.

The winners will be announced during the 11th PFIP Anniversary Gala and Award Ceremony on October 25, 2024.
