The National Society of Black Physician Assistants (NSBPA) is a group of certified Physician Assistants/Associates (PAs) who recognize the lack of diversity in our field and the unique challenges many Black pre-PA students, PA students and practicing PAs face. We chose to address these concerns through the creation of a community of PAs, PA students and pre-PAs, to encourage knowledge sharing, mentorship, and support. Resilio Mental Health Solutions
Resilio Mental Health Solutions serves the community as an ambassador for mental health services. Resilio is a nurse practitioner led private practice that was opened due to the mental health crisis in Chester County, PA. This was related to the increase in local teenage deaths by suicide and the permanent closure of the only psychiatric inpatient hospital in the county. Resilio identified a lack of mental health services primarily for the adolescent populations and Spanish speaking individuals. They focus on a patient centered approach, providing compassionate care in a safe and non-judgmental environment.
