Thomas Mketelwa is currently a Principal Executive Officer of KZNMPF (Municipal Pension Fund). I believe that the key responsibilities for being the Principal Executive Officer is to implement policies and strategies adopted by the Board. The duties include to oversee the general workings of the Fund. As some of the functions of the fund are outsourced, this does not mean that I and eventually the Trustees are not responsible. I oversee the service providers and ensure that they are perfoming their tasks as agreed upon. Also ensuring that the decisions made at the board of trustees meetings are implemented.
