Sheldon Jacobs, PsyD, LMFT
Vice President at NAMI - Southern NevadaDr. Jacobs is a licensed marriage and family therapist. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University where he studied Communications and he earned his Masters and Doctorate degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University. Dr. Jacobs has been providing individual, couples and family therapy to individuals from various walks of life for the past 15 years. He has worked in inpatient, outpatient and private practice settings. He has also worked as a clinician within the juvenile justice and child welfare systems for Clark County, a combined 11 years. Dr. Jacobs has also taught various psychology courses at several different universities over the years as an adjunct professor. Additionally, he is a team clinician for the Las Vegas Raiders where he provides counseling to players, coaches and staff as well as conducts NFL-mandated trainings for the team. Dr. Jacobs is also a mental health media consultant for Las Vegas Fox 5 News, Las Vegas Channel 13 News, Power 88.1 Las Vegas, and the Las Vegas Review Journal.
Dr. Christina Vela, DPP
Chief Executive Officer at St. Jude's Ranch for ChildrenDr. Christina Vela, Chief Executive Officer of St. Jude’s Ranch for Children, has more than two decades of professional and progressive human and social service experience that includes developing and administering foster care, homeless and supportive services to children, youth, transition age-youth and their families.
She has worked at the non-profit level as the Executive Director and the Chief Program Officer for St. Jude’s Ranch for Children, a Manager for the Clark County Department of Family Services, Social Services Program Specialist for the State of Nevada and a Program Specialist for the Federal Administration for Children and Families-Children’s Bureau in Washington DC. More recently, Christina has been the Coordinator for the State of Nevada Coalition to Prevent the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children.
Christina holds her Doctorate in Public Policy and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. She is a proud alumnus of Emerge Nevada, Leadership Las Vegas Class of 2013, Jameson Fellows and Clark County Leadership Academy.
Additionally, Christina is a National Board Member for The Family Focused Treatment Association, was a member of the Board of Trustees for the CASA Foundation of Las Vegas and led St. Jude’s Ranch for Children to receive the Governor’s Point of Light Bronze Medal for Volunteerism. Christina was recognized in 2020 with the NAWBO Women of Distinction Award and the Vistage Member Excellence Impact Award and in 2018 with Vegas Inc.’s Women to Watch coveted award.
Rob Reed
Pennsylvania Attorney General's OfficeRob Reed has been a career public servant working for more than 38 years in federal and state governments. Rob served as an Assistant United States Attorney with the U.S. Attorney’s Offices in Washington D.C. (1982-1987) and more recently in the (Eastern District of Pennsylvania (EDPA) (1989-2017). As a federal prosecutor, Rob investigated and prosecuted a wide range of cases including, among others, violent gang prosecutions, violent crimes, focusing on serial offenders, threats against the president, civil rights, complex white-collar investigations, among others. In 1995, Rob was selected to serve on a Presidential task Force focusing on national security issues. Beginning in 2002, Rob held a number of supervisory roles including Chief of the Firearms (violence) Section, the anti-gang coordinator, and the violent crime coordinator. He served as the Deputy Chief of the Criminal Division and was responsible for supervising the Criminal Division, initiating programs to enhance collaboration among law enforcement, assist in identifying the most dangerous individuals for prosecution, overseeing all gang prosecutions. In 2010, Rob was named the Executive Assistant U.S. Attorney and was responsible for expanding the office’s vision of criminal justice from solely relying on prosecution to include violence prevention, prisoner reentry and community outreach, including working with underserved communities. Rob was instrumental in supporting the trauma-informed care training of criminal justice professionals within the Philadelphia Police Department, in the EDPA and the DOJ. Rob also helped expand the USAO’s nationally recognized Prisoner Reentry Program.
In March 2017, Rob was appointed as an Executive Deputy Attorney General in the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office and now oversees the Special Initiatives section. He speaks across the Commonwealth on a number of issues including the opioid epidemic, gun violence, campus safety, prisoner reentry, civil rights, and trauma. In 2017, he spearheaded the creation of the Pennsylvania Reentry Council, which he chairs, that for the first time, brings together reentry stakeholders from around the Commonwealth. Beginning in 2017, Rob also initiated an effort to make Pennsylvania a trauma-informed state. In 2020, Rob was selected to work with Governor Tom Wolf’s Office of Advocacy and Reform to create a Trauma-Informed Pennsylvania and now oversees the Criminal Justice Action team to enhance criminal justice outcomes.. Rob regularly presents on trauma and trauma-informed care to diverse audiences.
Rob has a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, a M.Sc. from the London School of Economics, and a J.D. from Boston College Law School and is married with three children

He is a fierce advocate for people with challenges in this region and continues to uphold IM ABLE’s mission by providing adaptive grants and programming to the adaptive community.
Chris speaks in the community to audiences of all ages to help change perceptions of what a person with different challenges can accomplish and to encourage everyone to view those challenges as stepping stones not crutches. “We all have bumps along the way. Don’t let them be your crutch; make them your stepping stones. I was a 21-year-old US Marine diagnosed with adrenomyeloneuropathy, a degenerative nerve disorder. Facing challenging times and obstacles, I have turned it into something positive and fulfilling. As we face the challenges of today, I will share my motto of Improvise: figuring out a different way to do things, Adapt: implement that change into your daily life, and Overcome: moving on with your life with no excuses.”
Chris has received many accolades during his career: Induction into the Central Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame as a Courageous Athlete (2008), Penn State Alumni Achievement Award honoring outstanding young alumni (2009), a Pennsylvania State Resolution by the House of Representatives (2012), the American Red Cross Community Impact Hero Award (2015), Greater Reading Rising Star Award (2015), and PPL’s Bright Lights Award (2020).

Manager of Truancy Prevention Outreach at Clark County - Department of Juvenile JusticeYolanda Bennett graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice of Science from the University of Phoenix. She is currently working on completing her master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Phoenix. As the new Manager of the Truancy Prevention Outreach Program for the Department of Juvenile Justice Services, she helped develop and implement a program to address chronic absenteeism by identifying the root cause(s) of truancy. Before joining the Department of Juvenile Justice Services, Mrs. Bennett was a Manager with the Department of Family Services for 14 years, providing protective services for vulnerable children in the community. Mrs. Bennett manages a team of approximately 64 County employees and collaborates with community partners that provide educational and supportive services. Mrs. Bennett is also active within the community by volunteering at the local homeless shelter and convalescent homes in the Las Vegas area.

Assistant Professor of Social Work at Hood CollegeCatherine Breneman is an Assistant Professor of Social Work and Director of Field Education at Hood College in Frederick, Maryland. Prior to becoming a full-time faculty member, she had extensive career in inpatient, outpatient, and residential behavioral health settings as a social worker and administrator. She also has experience as a social worker in substance use treatment, medical settings, home health, hospice, and military social work. In addition to her current work at Hood, Dr. Breneman is a social work consultant in the Army Fellowship in Child and Family Therapy at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and a volunteer in the Services to the Armed Forces with the Red Cross. She earned her M.S.W. at West Virginia University and Ph.D. in social work at the University of Pittsburgh.
Nancy Clemens
Director, Children & Youth of Service Access & Management, Inc.Nancy L. Clemens is the Children and Youth Service Line Director for Service Access and Management, Inc. (SAM). Nancy has a BS in Psychology from Bloomsburg University of PA, an MS in Criminal Justice Administration from Shippensburg University of PA, and completed a Fellowship at the National Center for State Courts’ Institute for Court Management. Nancy served in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer.
Nancy worked as a Tioga County Probation/Parole Officer from 1995 to 2002, District Court Administrator until 2016, and Administrator of the Department of Human Services until 2020.
Nancy received a Special Commendation from the Pennsylvania Supreme Court in 2006 for her work on the Judicial Security Council. In 2020, she was appointed to the Pennsylvania Judicial Conduct Board.
Nancy also works as an instructor at the Mansfield University of PA Municipal Police Academy, the Penn State University Deputy Sheriff’s Academy, and the Child Welfare Resource Center.

Her clinical interests include expanding access to therapy to under treated populations especially communities of color. She is currently a doctoral candidate at Northcentral University pursuing her doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy, specialization: Mental Health Administration. He came to this position with over 20 years of experience in law enforcement, having spent seven years as a Detective/Sergeant, eight years as Chief of Police, and 15 years as a use of force instructor. He served for 13 years on the Dauphin County Crisis Response Team (SWAT), including five years as a Specialty Teams Leader. Additionally, he spent seven years as a member of the Dauphin County Joint Investigative Team, working closely with Children and Youth Services and the District Attorney’s Office to investigate reports of child abuse. Ron has been an adjunct instructor/trainer at the Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) Police Academy for 15 years and teaches courses on Patrol Vehicle Operations, Mechanics of Arrest, Tactical Firearms, Recognizing Special Needs, and Scenario Trainings.

Jillian Gosselin

Previously, Ms. Gosselin was a Diversion Specialist and Forensic Blended Case Management Supervisor. She has worked to further develop the Forensic Mental Health Diversion Program as well as develop and expand case management services specifically for the forensic mental health population. Ms. Gosselin graduated from Albright College with a Bachelor Degree in Psychology and from Marywood University with a Master’s Degree in Social Work. Over the past 18 years, Ms. Gosselin has presented at National and International Conferences on various topics including mental health, drug and alcohol, sex workers, prevention of high risk behaviors among youth, and HIV prevention. Ms. Gosselin also published an article in the Positive Approaches Journal in May 2020 entitled “Collaboration to Continuity: A Case Study on Berks County’s Mental Health Forensic Diversion Program.”
In addition to her work in the behavioral health field, she continues to work as an independent consultant, writing grant proposals, analyzing data, and working with a highly qualified evaluation team for federally-funded substance abuse grant programs focusing on at-risk populations. Ms. Gosselin also works as a Peer Reviewer for SAMHSA grant applications. In previous years, she has worked as an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania.

Carol is Director of Community Planning, Program Development, and Training for the Delaware Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health. She has worked in several states as a case manager, administrator, and educator and continues to provide these services through a private consulting practice. Dr. Kuprevich has been a board member for NACM since 2002 and is on the advisory councils of numerous academic institutions. She is currently the NACM Treasurer.

She has been in the mental health field for 15 years, spending over 10 of those years with SAM. She was the first targeted case management supervisor at SAM to be awarded the Master Supervisor title. Nicole graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. Nicole’s current work includes helping create inventive ways to recruit and onboard staff, in an increased virtual setting, that grows engaged, proactive, and determined staff.

Marc is a career social worker. He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Social; and is completing his Doctor of Social Work (DSW) from Kutztown University. Marc is a licensed social worker in the state of Pennsylvania with over 15 years of experience working in various human service organizations.

Jeff Marks has forty (40) years of experience in behavioral health, including direct service and administrative/management responsibilities in community, forensic, private, and educational settings. Related programming includes: Mental Health residential services; Crisis Intervention/Delegate Services; Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Treatment; Family-Based and Wrap-Around Services; case management services; employee assistance; drug & alcohol counseling; school administration/student services; providing lethality assessments in correctional facilities; providing therapy in private practice. Jeff holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology and is licensed as a Psychologist.
Connie Mastovich

Rebekka graduated with her Bachelors of Social Work from Limestone University in 2010 where she was awarded the Social Work Student of the year. Her passions include mental health, fighting for human rights and social change while making communities stronger, families healthier and increase compassion in all areas of life.

McCall is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist; a Contracted Subject Matter Expert in the Epidemiology of Suicidal Behavior, and 10 years the Founder & Owner of Desert Rose Counseling Group; a champion in suicide prevention. Bianca is the Creator and Host of, The UNNI Podcast & Reach In Now, the docuseries; of which Bianca connects with trauma survivors, from across the world.
Bianca is a suicide survivor. During her collegiate basketball career, Bianca lost a teammate to suicide. Experiencing survivors’ remorse borne what has manifested into Bianca's life’s work and purpose.

Science Degree in Accounting. Stan has over 35 years of progressive management experience in not-for-profit and for-profit sectors. His areas of expertise include budget and grant management, provider relations, accounting systems, financial analysis and reporting.
Kasey Moyer
Director of MHA - NebraskaPresenter(s) Bio Kasey Moyer, Director of MHA-Nebraska, assisted in the development of the state’s first peer-directed and nationally accredited (CARF) programs and the largest peer-run organization in the Midwest, employing 45 peer specialists. Programs include supported employment, peer-run respite house, and the law enforcement referral program. Kasey worked with the Nebraska Department of Corrections, Parole and Probation to implement peer operated re-entry services. In 2018 the peer-run transitional home for people reentering the community expanded to a 20-bedroom home under the direction of Kasey. She is an appointed member of the Restricted Housing Workgroup, focusing on persons living with SMI currently incarcerated.

Ervin Munro has an M.S. in School Psychology and a B.S. in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. He’s worked as a licensed School Psychologist, Educator, Case Manager, Director of Social Services, and medical Operations Manager. Currently, he works as a private Educator and Consultant.
Mr. Munro provided services in multicultural settings for homeless persons, persons with mental illnesses, chronic health conditions, physical disabilities, post-incarcerated, veterans, substance users/abusers, older adults, persons affected by HIV/AIDS, homeless and runaway youth, hospice and homecare patients, and immigrants/refugees.
He serves on the NACM Board of Directors and is Chair of the Membership Committee.
Lakiesha Oliver

She is a disabled Air Force veteran who has lived and traveled throughout the world. Lakiesha provides care specifically center around the “greater good” worldview. In recent years she has acted as an employment and transition counselor assisting military members and families in preparation for civilian life. Lakiesha is an active volunteer addressing mental health stigma and awareness in the Southern Nevada area. She currently provides therapy and psychoeducation for community members who are under-insured, uninsured, and undocumented through Solutions of Change, Las Vegas.

She is currently Senior Vice President of Clinical Operations for The Columbus Organization, where she oversees all quality and compliance programs in an effort to ensure meaningful outcomes for people.

Mike earned his Bachelors in Science degree in Bible and has been working in the Human Services field for 23 years. He is presently supervising a team of Blended Case Managers who serve over 250 individuals. He is committed to Service Access Management’s goal of leaving everyone he serves better off. An advocate for finding a win-win solution in every situation, Mike continues to challenge himself in learning creative ways in encouraging the individuals his team works with to be successful in their wellness. He remains active in his community as an associate pastor of a local church. He enjoys reading and encouraging others to fulfill their potential.

Using adventure learning and social and emotional skill development, Shelby focuses on building developmental relationships and fostering an environment where kids can safely explore the behavioral patterns that negatively impact their quality of life. Melissa Shingle
Regional Director of Mental Health Services at SAMMelissa Shingle, BS, NADD-DDS, is a Regional Director of Mental Health Services at Service Access & Management, Inc., Berks and Schuylkill Counties, Pennsylvania. Ms. Shingle has had a pivotal role in multiple programs during her 12 years of service at SAM, Inc. Previously, Ms. Shingle provided oversight to the Forensic Diversion Program, Forensic Blended Case Management, and Forensic Peer Services in Berks County. She oversaw the work that further developed the Forensic Mental Health Diversion Program as well as case management services. Ms. Shingle graduated from Alvernia College with a Bachelor Degree in Forensic Science and Criminal Justice and is currently working toward her graduate degree in the Psychology of Leadership at Penn State University.
Ms. Shingle has also presented at the National Association of Forensic Counselors in 2018.

Stacey Staudenmeier
Associate Vice President, Behavioral Health at Geisinger Health PlanAs the Associate Vice President of Behavioral Health and Health Choices for Geisinger Health Plan, Stacey Staudenmeier is responsible for the oversight of the Behavioral Health Care Management, Special Needs Unit and Community Health Assistant program within Population Health. Stacey’s team focuses on high risk women’s and pediatrics, coordination of physical health and behavioral health, and addressing Social Determinants of Health to improve access and quality of health care. Stacey joined Geisinger Health Plan in 2013.
Prior to joining Geisinger, Stacey worked for a Pennsylvania Behavioral Health Managed Care Organization for 4+ years and has an additional 8 years’ experience working in Behavioral Health with over half of that time providing direct patient care as well as management and oversight in an Outpatient setting.
Stacey is a graduate of the Temple University School of Social Work Master’s Program and currently holds a Pennsylvania Social Work License. Additionally, Stacey holds a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Saint Joseph’s University.

Robin Teitelbaum is the Quality Service & Practice Excellence Manager for Service Access and Management, Inc. In her role, Robin is responsible to coordinate activities related to quality case management service delivery and continuous practice improvement, including monitoring program quality, developing and operating SAM Credentialing and Certification programs, and conducting instructor-led staff development experiences. Robin has been in the field for over 30 years, having worked as a case manager, case management supervisor, and program specialist, and director of services, specializing in children and families for over 25 years. Robin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and a Master’s degree in Business Administration.
Megan Tritt
Megan E. Tritt MSW, LCSW is the VHA Health Systems Specialist, Preventative Ethics Coordinator in Butler, Pennsylvania. She is responsible for delivering performance improvement techniques to a broad array of programs and services throughout the medical center, including LEAN, Six Sigma, Coaching, Project Management, and Training. She also serves as the Integrated Ethics Preventative Coordinator for the medical center. As coordinator of the preventative ethics program she functions in her facility as the subject matter expert in addressing ethics quality gaps on a system level. Megan is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Social Work program at Kutztown University in Kutztown, Pennsylvania and she received her MSW from the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

John Vafeas
Chair and Professor, Department of Social Work at Kutztown UniversityJohn Vafeas is the Chair of the Department of Social Work at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. He completed undergraduate degrees in both Greece and the United States and received his MSW and DSW from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Vafeas’ clinical and research work centered in the field of vocational rehabilitation of individuals with disabilities and for the past 25 years he has taught at Kutztown University. He has held previous faculty appointments at the University of Pennsylvania and Ryder University. Dr. Vafeas’ research includes services delivery systems, policy and program evaluation, accreditation, and graduate and undergraduate social work curriculum design. John joined the NACM board in 2014.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Kansas. During his career at LPD, he has worked as a Field Training Officer, Criminal Investigator, and Patrol Sergeant. Sergeant Walsh is currently a liaison to the mental health community in Lincoln.

Central Behavioral Health Case Management supports over 800 people a year. The department employs case management staff providing support to children, transitional age youth, adults and older adults. Central Behavioral Health's main office is in Norristown Pennsylvania. Also, Dave is the board president of a local human service collaborative ""lnteragency Council of Norristown"" as well as a National Association of Case Management board member.

Cheryl Wright graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Chemical Dependency from Pitzer College. She received her master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. As an Assistant Director for the Clark County Department of Juvenile Justice Services, she oversees Diversion, Prevention and Early Intervention Programming. She is licensed by the state as a social worker and is a board approved clinical supervisor. She served on the Clark County Children’s Behavioral Health Consortium for 10 years and is a current voting member of the School Justice Partnership and a board member of the National Assessment Center Association.

Information Officer at Service Access & Management, Inc.Ginny Ysa is the Information Officer at Service Access & Management, Inc. In this role, she has coordinated the implementation of technology solutions to support the company’s mission. She started out as an engineer, but soon fell in love with the human services field. She has worked in in this field for over 15 years, starting out as a case manager then moving into more administrative and technical positions. Ginny holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master of Social Work from Kutztown University.
