Dr. Carmella Britt is very happy to be back in the Northeast and completing her residency at the Animal Medical Center. She is originally from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, but her education and interests have taken her all over the world, including a post-undergraduate research internship in Fermoy, Ireland. In 2013, Dr. Britt traveled to St. Kitts in the West Indies to begin veterinary school at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She returned to the US in 2015 and completed her clinical year at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Her passion is in the role that physical rehabilitation plays in improving outcomes, mobility, and pain management in our veterinary Orthopedic and Neurology patients. She also has a strong interest in the impact that rehabilitation can have on patients outside of orthopedics and neurology, especially the critically ill patients who are less mobile and hospitalized for extended periods of time. She is currently conducting research on a canine nutraceutical that may improve the ability to build muscle.
