Paul entered the financial services industry in 1971 and founded Paul Comstock Partners, a fee only registered investment advisory firm in 1982. He focuses on providing families with strategic investment counsel which results in designing a family financial organization that encourages the development of wealth responsibility in the rising generations.
Paul is a past L3 board chair and past President of the National Committee on Planned Giving. Paul also served as Chairman of the Board of Visitors for the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University. He is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Houston Independent School District Foundation and was a District Chairman for the Sam Houston Area Boy Scouts of America. He is an eagle scout and has had the honor of bestowing that rank on two of his grandsons.
He and his wife, Patte, served as Co-directors of Public Affairs for the North American
Southwest Area of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon) for ten years. Paul also served as Chair of the Professional Advisory Council for the Planned Giving Section of LDS Philanthropies. Currently, Paul is a member of board of directors of the Erie Canal Heritage Fund.
He is the father of four daughters who have blessed him with fourteen grandchildren.
Paul is an avid kayaker. Patte and Paul live in Houston. They also have a retreat home in the upper-peninsula of Michigan where they entertain grandchildren throughout the summer.
Paul received a BS in Business from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Masters of Science in Financial Services from The American College in Bryn Mawr, Penn.
