The St George Illawarra Dragons are a professional rugby league club who compete in the National Rugby League competition.
In 2019, after 11 years playing professional rugby league in the NRL, I made the decision to retire.
I started laying the foundation for life post football back in 2011 while playing for the New Zealand Warriors by commencing a Business Degree at the University of Auckland. I have always been passionate about education and was the Education Ambassador at both St George Dragons and Penrith Panthers during my time at both clubs. In 2014 and 2016 I was named in the ‘Academic Team of the Year ‘recognising academic achievement and commitment to further education outside of football’ and in 2018 awarded the ‘Marc Coyne Trophy’ for showing the most initiative in developing a career after football.
From 2016 to 2020 I was a Director on the Rugby League Players Association Board, responsible for ensuring that the playing group have a voice on key issues within the NRL.
Fast forward 9 years and I hold a Business Degree from the University Of Wollongong, a Certificate IV and Diploma in Mortgage Broking and have had numerous work placements across real estate and financial industries.
I currently work with the Oxygen Home Loans Mortgage Broking team and the Partnerships team at the St George Dragons, working with corporate partners and sponsors as well as fulfilling an ambassador role for the club.
