Susan Galvin
Founder of Galvin Watch CompanySusan Galvin launched the first female-founded micro watch company in Australia, Galvin Watch Company, on Kickstarter on 1 August 2020. Within six minutes, she had reached her funding goal of $15,000. By the end of the crowdfunding journey, she raised 120k to kick start her business.
After graduating from the Finnish School of Watchmaking and a decade-long career in the United Kingdom and Australia, Susan Galvin brings well-needed female energy to a male-dominated industry.
Tiina Hogg
Naturopath | Founder of SaltuaryTiina Hogg runs Saltuary and its two natural therapy centers together with her husband and with the help of 18-person staff. The first Saltuary location at Five Dock opened in 2013 after 1.5 years of research and planning, and the second center at Wentworth Park followed in 2019. The centers provide multi-disciplinary services including acupuncture, massage, naturopathy, nutrition, infrared saunas, float rooms, salt therapy, and retail space.
Tiina has a degree in naturopathy and graduated in 2005 (Bachelor of Human Health Science + Advanced Diplomas in naturopathy, herbal medicine, nutrition). The week she graduated, she went straight to work at wellness resort in Thailand, came back, got married, had kids and decided then to start a family business building Saltuary from scratch.
