The Hermosillo Energy and Climate Change Agency Office and the Sonora Energy Cluster held the first edition of the World Solar Energy Forum in November 2022.

More than 1,300 attendees were able to learn about the opportunities and challenges to implement solar energy-based solutions that help cities become better places to live.

35 experts participated in 5 panels, 15 conferences and 4 workshops, highlighting the participation of:

• Juan Manuel Santos, former President of Colombia and 2016 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate.
• Antonio Villaraigosa, Infrastructure Advisor of the State of California and former Mayor of Los Angeles.
• Carla Medina, president of the Mexican Solar Energy Association.
• Calixto Mateos, CEO of the North American Development Bank (NADBank).

In addition, 20 exhibitors showcased the most relevant trends in the energy sector.
