Partner at KONU
Liz is a Partner and Managing Director of KONU Germany. Liz’s passion is helping people and organizations learn, grow and flourish. Liz coaches executives, designs and runs leadership development programs, and facilitates crucial conversations in order to help purpose-driven companies and organizations maximize their impact.
Liz’s work is inspired by her own experiences as a change agent: She co-founded an educational non-profit (Teach First Deutschland) and was Director of School Turnaround for Berlin schools. From these experiences, she draws the conviction that leadership can come from everywhere. She also developed an appreciation for how hard it is to bring about change in complex system - and how meaningful it is to have a sparring partner to help you see the bigger picture, unleash your strengths, plan your next steps, and take care of yourself.
Liz holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard University and an MA International Relations from Free University Berlin. She is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with the International Coach Federation. All the while, she believes learning never ends - her learning edge is to dare to be bolder.
Liz brings an international perspective to my work, having grown up in Germany, the United States, and Singapore. Berlin is her chosen home: It's where she lives with her family and young son and where she gives back to the community through her engagement in local-level politics. In her spare time, she loves running (though you won't find her running before breakfast).
Engagement Manager at KONU
Judit loves learning about people and helping people connect more deeply to themselves, their purpose(s), and to others. She particularly enjoys designing and facilitating leadership development and change programs that allow individuals to relate their individual purposes to organizational purposes.
Her coaching, training and consulting practice is grounded in the belief that every person and every organization can maximize their impact by being authentically imperfect and learning as well as finding a balance between growing and provoking leadership in each person.
Judit has over ten years' experience working as a licensed cognitive behavioral therapist for individuals and groups (MA Psychology from University of Marburg, Germany and Approbation as a CBT therapist from Bremen, Germany). She now uses this expertise to support self-regulation and sustainable behavioral change in her coaching, training, and consulting practice. Her years as a therapist also make her appreciate how hard change is – and what good mechanisms are for dealing with resistance to that change.
Having spent much of her childhood at the theatre, she set off after high school to become an actress and trained in acting and singing at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in New York City. She looks back at this time as one of the biggest failures of her life: She lost all her passion for acting and learned how important it is to be able to act and assess the dynamics of the situation at the same time. Even so, she still enjoys slipping into different roles in her life – be it as a facilitator, mother, coach, partner, lindy-hopper, or handball player.
