Dr. Thomas Brennan Jr. holds a Bachelor’s and a Doctoral Degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University, and a Master’s Degree in Civil and Infrastructure Engineering from George Mason University. Dr. Brennan has spent over 20 years in research and consulting and is a license professional engineer registered in Virginia, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. He is currently a faculty member at The College of New Jersey in the School of Civil Engineering and is published in over 25 journals and 30 conference proceedings. His current research and scholarly interests include, but are not limited to, traffic operations, the development of traffic mobility performance measures, anonymous vehicle tracking (Bluetooth tracking/Cell Phone), infrastructure asset management, and IoT sensor technologies. Dr. Brennan has developed a number of performance metrics that have utilized high resolution traffic signal controller data and anonymous probe vehicle data. His research has been funded by the New Jersey DOT, UTRC-Region II, and private funding.

Mr. Mark F. Jehnke serves as Ocean County’s Assistant County Engineer and is responsible for the Design and Traffic Divisions of the Ocean County Engineering Department. In his position, Mr. Jehnke oversees the design, inspection, and maintenance of County assets along 621 miles of county roadway.

During his 33-year career, he has worked on a variety of transportation engineering and infrastructure projects, in both the private sector and County government. Projects include traffic signal, intersection, roadway, culvert and drainage design, in addition to environmental compliance and bridge inspection. He has performed project management, construction management, and permitting.

He serves as Ocean County’s voting representative and current chairperson on NJTPA’s Regional Transportation Advisory Committee (RTAC). Additionally, he serves as chair for the County and Municipal Traffic Engineers Association (CAMTEA).

Mr. Jehnke holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Trenton State College (now TCNJ) in New Jersey and is a Professional Engineer licensed in the state of New Jersey.

Jeevanjot Singh is the Section Chief, Engineering for New Jersey Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Safety, Bicycle and Pedestrian Programs. The Bureau is responsible for the management of the federal Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP), and provides safety subject matter expertize on a wide variety of analyses, programs, projects and initiatives.

Jeevan holds a Bachelors in Civil Engineering from India, Masters in Environmental Engineering, Masters in Highway Engineering, also, from India and a third Masters in Transportation Engineering from Rutgers University and a Masters Certificate in Project Management from Project Management Institute. She started as a structural engineer, moving on to highway and runway design, IT, traffic engineering, TSMO, ITS, and Project Management prior to her role as Section Chief. Jeevan has 26 years of experience, including 13 years with NJDOT. She is also a graduate of the Freight Operations Academy and Regional Operations Forum.

Jeevan holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) license.

She is an active participant in ITSNJ, ITE and WTS. She has represented NJDOT as an NCHRP Panel member, at the Connected Vehicle Pooled Fund Study, AASHTO Subcommittees and Working Groups for Connected & Autonomous Vehicles and Safety, AASHTO subcommittees for safety, in addition to being on technical paper review committees for TRB.

She and her husband live in Plainsboro, NJ with their two boys. Her passion for cultivating Safety Culture goes back to 2008, when she participated in the STEP (Safety & Traffic Education Program) for lower elementary kids.

Out-of-Office - Jeevan volunteers with an International NGO leading its Community Education and Empowerment department, is on the Steering Committee of Greater Delaware Valley Interfaith Community, and serves on advisory boards of multiple non-profit organizations.
