Ken graduated from the University of Aberdeen, (Scotland) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Land Economics in 1990.
He joined a leading International firm of Chartered Surveyors and worked in the property management department of the firm’s Aberdeen Office where he was responsible for the firm’s client portfolio in the North East of Scotland.
Prior to joining Acorn Group, he was the Regional Chief Executive Officer of Property Development and Management Ltd (PDM), an Aga Khan Development Network Company where he was responsible for managing and developing the organization’s commercial property portfolio in East Africa.
Ravi Kohli
Founder and Managing Director of Karibu HomesRavi is the Founder and Managing Director of Karibu Homes, a large scale affordable housing developer of 1200 units under construction in Athi River.
He currently serves as a member of the KPDA Public Policy and Advocacy Committee and is involved in researching on private sector’s contribution in proving affordable and low cost dignified housing to Kenyans.
He has 15 years experience in property development both in Kenya and the United Kingdom and holds a BA (Hons) in Economics and Human Resource Management.
Hamish Govani
Executive Director of Lantana HomesHamish is the Executive Director of Lantana Homes. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, AGCI and a Masters in Business Administration. Hamish has diverse experience in real estate development and has overseen several construction projects in the country
Gikonyo Gitonga
Managing Director of Axis Real Estate LtdGikonyo is the Managing Director at Axis Real Estate Limited.
He is a highly experienced and qualified Real Estate professional services expert and holds an MSc (Econs) in Urban Development Planning from the University of London and a BA (Land Economics) from the University of Nairobi.
He is a full member of The Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (Valuation & Estate Agents Chapter) and is a Registered Estate Agent.
Anne Muchiri
Managing Director of Rozana PropertiesAnne acted as a legal adviser and a founder Director of the then Kenya Private Developers Association.
She is presently serving as a member of the KPDA Public Policy and Advocacy Committee and presently the Managing Director of Rozana Properties Ltd, a company engaged in the development and sale of residential homes.
Anne is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and has served in the Nairobi Stock Exchange Board Committee on Business Development and Public Education as a Committee Member.
She has also acted as a legal advisor and secretary for the Oil and Gas Contractors Association of Kenya, as well as acted as a local co-ordinator for the Anthony Robbins Foundation which headed the participation of Kenyan youth in their Global Youth Leadership Summit Annual Program.
Anne is a Certified Public Speaker (Toastmasters International) and is conversant with the French language.
The Board of Directors of KPDA has 100% confidence in the positive impact Anne will make on the Board.
Palkesh Shah
Director of Chigwell HoldingsPalkesh Shah holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from New Hampshire College. He has headed operations in Spin Knit Dairy Ltd, Sakiza Spinning Ltd, and GlobalN Paper Products Ltd and is also an active Director at Chigwell Holdings Ltd. Palkesh has held various leadership positions in social organizations including Shah Lalji Nangpar Academy, Oshwal Academy and is a founding member of the Africa Leadership Initiative – East Africa Foundation. He is the Founder Chair of the KPDA Affordable Housing Task Force.
Alex Waiharo
CEO of Jabez PropertiesAlex is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Jabez Properties, a real estate development business which focuses on the construction and sale of quality, affordable residential properties. He has worked for several years in the Information Technology (IT) industry before joining the real estate sector and has diverse experience both in the implementation of IT based business systems and real estate development.
Alex holds a Bachelors degree in Engineering from the University of Nairobi and a Masters degree in Construction Management from the same institution. He currently serves as a member of the KPDA Public Policy and Advocacy Committee.
Caroline Karugu
Partner at Ashitiva Advocates LLPCaroline is a partner at Ashitiva Advocates LLP and focuses mainly on property law, property development work, real estate financing, property joint ventures and structuring of mixed use developments. She has handled a variety of property transactions including, structuring of property joint ventures, property acquisitions, residential and mixed use projects, large scale commercial retail leasing, property management contracts and securities.
Caroline Kihara
Managing Director of KCB FoundationCaroline has been the Head of Mortgage Sales at KCB Bank since 2015. She has over 15 years’ experience in Real Estate Financing; 10 of which has been in Senior management level specializing in SME/ Business Banking, Corporate Banking, Microfinance Banking as well as Mortgage Finance banking. She has worked at the United Bank of Africa (UBA – Kenya Ltd), Standard Chartered Bank, Equity Bank, Housing Finance and at the Kenya Women Finance Trust.
Caroline is part of KCB Women in Leadership Network (WILN).
She is a member of the KPDA Affordable Housing Task Force, the KPDA Membership and Outreach Committee as well as the KPDA Institutional Strengthening Committee.
Zoravar Singh
Director of iJengaZoravar Singh is the Managing Director of iJenga, an integrated real estate development and investment company. Zoravar also serves as a Director of the Kenya Property Developers Association where he Chairs the Affordable Housing Task Force.
Previously, Zoravar served as General Manager for Agriculture at Equity Group Foundation, CEO of Community Lab with The Earth Institute at Columbia University, where he focused on health systems and integrated development in developing countries. Prior to that Zoravar was a real estate investment banker at Merrill Lynch in New York and he started his career as a management and technology consultant at Accenture.
Zoravar received a Bachelors of Commerce in Operations Management from the University of Alberta and a Masters of Business Administration in real estate and finance from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
