Sunday July 10, 2022
Meet fellow medical students and residents for an evening picnic at the beach! The famous Salmon and Bannock will be providing boxed meals for this casual, outdoor meetup Join the group walking from the hotel at 4:30pm or meet at Sunset Beach at 5:00pm.
Monday July 11, 2022
You will receive a packed breakfast as you board the bus outside the hotel at 8:30am. Group A will begin with Elders and Dr. Mike Dumont at L'uma Medical Centre and Group B will begin with Knowledge Keeper T'uy'tanat-Cease Wyss at Stanley Park. The day will be filled with traditional and western medicine teachings. Both groups will meet for lunch at Trout Lake Park before switching venues.
Your bus will take you directly to the welcome reception at the Bill Reid Art Gallery 5:30-7:30pm. There will be time to socialize and enjoy the gallery while we enjoy light refreshments before we are welcomed onto territory by representatives from the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. As we continue to connect and reconnect, we will have the pleasure of experiencing Spoken word artist Shauntelle Charleson and and a warm welcome from IPAC. After the welcome reception the night is yours. The Bill Reid Art Gallery is walking distance from the hotel.

PRIDoC-IPAC 2022 Student Grants
Through the generosity of the following sponsors, we are pleased to announce The PRIDoC-IPAC 2022 Student Grant Program. This program offers financial support to Canadian Indigenous Medical Students who wish to attend PRIDoC July 10-15, 2022 in Vancouver B.C. These grants are available to assist with travel, accommodation and registration fees.
Applicant Requirements
1. Identify as Indigenous
2. IPAC member in good standing https://www.ipac-amac.ca/membership
3. Currently enrolled in a medical school in Canada
4. Attend and fully participate in the conference Monday July 11 to Friday July 15, 2022
5. Unable to access support from your medical school (see above)
6. Submit a thank you letter, outlining the benefits of attending PRIDoC 2020 by July 31, 2022

This grant is for medical students only. If you choose to bring guests and include them in PRIDoC meals and events, you will need to register them as your guests. The guest fees are listed here. We can help you register your guests once your grant has been approved.
