This year's recipient of the 944th Fighter Wing "Graydon Williams Award" is Technical Sergeant David Emery. 

TSgt David R Emery is a Quality Assurance Inspector assigned to the 414th Fighter Group Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina. TSgt Emery is responsible for training and evaluating maintenance personnel, assuring quality of maintenance on a fleet of 94 F-15E Aircraft, and providing technical oversight for the Total Force Integration concept over 2,358 maintenance personnel within the 4th Maintenance Group.

TSgt Emery began his career in 2012 as an F-15E Aircraft Electrical and Environmental Systems Technician at Seymour Johnson AFB, N.C. From there he served in a wide variety of roles within the Aircraft Maintenance career field. From 2012 to 2014 he was the only Electrical/Environmental Systems Technician assigned to the 414th Maintenance Squadron. In 2014, he became an Air Reserve Technician and as a Senior Airman was the lead Tech in the 916th Maintenance Squadron Electrical and Environmental Systems Back shop for the KC-135R. He cross-trained in 2015 to become a Fighter Integrated Avionics Systems Technician with the 414th Maintenance Squadron in Total Force Integration with the 333rd Aircraft Maintenance Unit. In 2018, he accepted his current assignment as a Quality Assurance Inspector with 414th Fighter Group at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina.
