In 2015, under the United Nations Sustainable Stock Exchange (SSE) Initiative, along with its partners, launched the annual event "Ring the Bell for Gender Equality" in line with International Women's Day. These events are organized as a partnership by the SSE Initiative, together with the United Nations Global Compact (UN Global Compact), The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Women in Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) and the World Federation of Exchanges (WFEs) to raise awareness about the opportunities for the private sector to advance gender equality and sustainable development.

As part of the 11th edition of the Ring the Bell for Gender Equality initiative, this event aims to advance gender equality and promote workplace policies that empower women. Aligned with International Women's Day 2025, this campaign will be held under the theme: "Ring the Bell for ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment."

In today's rapidly evolving workforce, women face unique challenges in balancing their professional and personal responsibilities. While progress has been made, systemic barriers such as gender bias, benefit gaps, and limited access to leadership roles persist. Many women struggle due to inflexible work policies, caregiving responsibilities, and a lack of institutional support for work-life integration.

To address these challenges, organizations worldwide must implement inclusive policies that support women's professional growth while ensuring a balanced personal life. This event will serve as a platform to discuss effective policies, share best practices, and explore strategies for creating gender-inclusive workplaces.
