Dr. Agbo Ezra Ogbonnaya
Consultant Pathologist , Chief Operating Officer at Everight Diagnostic & Laboratory ServicesDr. Agbo Ezra Ogbonnaya joined the company as a Consultant Pathologist and Chief Operating Officer in 2021. His extensive academic and professional background includes being a Medical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Doctor, Medical Biochemist, Clinical Pathologist (Laboratory Physician), and Chemical Pathologist.
Dr. Ogbonnaya became an Associate of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (AMLSCN) in 2006. He obtained a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (Chemical Pathology) from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, in 2007, and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB; BS) from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in 2012. He also earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Medical Biochemistry from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
In recognition of his expertise, Dr. Ogbonnaya became a Member of the West African College of Physicians (MWACP [Lab Med]) in October 2016, a Fellow of the Nigerian Medical College of Pathologists (FMCPath) in May 2019, and a Fellow of the West African College of Physicians (FWACP [Lab Med]) in October 2019.
His areas of interest encompass Nutrition and Metabolism, Cancer Biology, Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology, Laboratory Methodologies and Instrumentations, and Clinical Laboratory Governance, among others. Dr. Ogbonnaya's multidisciplinary expertise and leadership in clinical pathology significantly contribute to the advancement of medical science and healthcare delivery in Nigeria.
