Dr. Melissa Sadorf was recently interviewed in the The Daily Yonder about the importance of supporting rural school leaders, drawing on her experience as a rural superintendent in Stanfield, AZ. She also discusses her new book, The Resilient Rural Leader: Rising to the Challenges of Rural Education.

Dr. Sadorf is the Executive Director of NREA State Affiliate Arizona Rural Schools Association and the current NREA President.

The Daily Yonder recently published an article titled “Rural Student Qualifications Don’t Align with Local Job Markets” by Nick Fouriezos. The piece draws from a study by the Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce (CEW), which terms this lack of opportunities to learn locally relevant professions the “Great Misalignment.”
