AAIS Newsletter for RSAF Members (Feb 2025)

Dear Subscriber,
New Year Optimism and New Beginnings!

We began the Lunar New Year on an optimistic note with news that the Singapore aerospace sector grew a robust 14.7% in 2024. In EDB's business expectations survey, aerospace businesses also projected a positive outlook for the first half of 2025.

The new year also brought new beginnings - AAIS warmly welcomed newly-appointed HAEL, ME7 Gabriel Tham, onboard the AAIS Management Committee, even as ME8 Timothy Yap joined our honorary Panel of Experts. We are deeply appreciative of ME8 Yap's distinguished service (2023/2024) on the Management Committee.

DHAEL ME6 (Dr) Reuben Lim took to the stage to address university students at AAIS' inaugural Student Leaders' Summit organised under our new AAIS-Affiliated Student Clubs programme. AAIS also signed an MOU with ASTM International, paving the way for cooperation on aviation/aerospace standards.
