The leading authority on cyber security in the UK has recognised De Montfort University Leicester (DMU) for its commitment to cyber security education.

The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) – part of GCHQ (Government Communications Headquarters) – has named DMU a gold standard Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Education (ACE-CSE), making it the first university in the East Midlands to achieve the prestigious status.

Only nine universities in the UK have received gold standard ACE-CSE recognition, which acknowledges first-rate cyber security education and a commitment to external engagement promoting cyber skills.

This marks the second time that DMU has been recognised for its world-leading cyber security offering by the NCSC, having been named an Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Research (ACE-CSR) in 2019.

Exeter rose one place to 15th in the latest rankings, published on September 11th 2021. Universities are ranked according to a number of factors, including student satisfaction and career prospects.

The influential guide is accompanied by rankings showing how universities perform across the main subject areas, with Exeter enjoying considerable success. Two subjects were ranked in the top five, a further seven secured places in the top 10, while there were 12 subjects ranked between 11th and 20th.

Earth and Marine Sciences was the highest ranking subject, securing second position, while Engineering: Materials and Minerals (3rd) also featured in the top 5.

Our team is back again to North Jakarta Intercultural School (NJIS) on Thursday, 23 September! On this special occasion, we shared what things you need to prepare before applying to universities in the UK.

Joining us from the UK was Viancqa Queentzana K., who shared her journey to pursue her undergraduate study to the UK! Viancqa is also the co-founder of Abroadening Indonesia, a platform dedicated to encourage Indonesian students to study abroad!
