GTCC's 60th Anniversary: Our 60 facts #10 On 19 January 1962, the Foundation Committee for establishing a German Chamber of Commerce was elected by German businessmen in Thailand. Seven days later (26 January) , the first unofficial gathering of German and Thai businessman took place at a luncheon in the Plaza Hotel. Twenty companies pledged their support for the foundation of Thai-German Chamber of Commerce. Six months later (19 July), there was the first official meeting of the chamber with 57 members at the Erawan Hotel. There was also an election of the Executive Committee. |
