The BMCC is pleased to organise with Rahim & Co International and PNB Merdeka Ventures,a webinar on "Malaysian Property Market Update and an Introduction to Merdeka 118 Tower, Kuala Lumpur’s New Global Icon".
Despite the recent uncertainty in the economic and property markets due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Malaysia continues to soldier through in finding creative solutions to overcome its problems. We believe this slowdown is temporary and will get back to normal within the short to medium term.
In spite of this situation, Merdeka 118, a landmark development in Malaysia, is now back on track and is set to be completed by 2022. Strategically located with world-class amenities, the Merdeka 118 precinct is Malaysia's much-anticipated centre of commerce, culture and heritage. Players in the wider property sector have been adapting and finding new ways of navigating their business in a post-pandemic market. This webinar thus aims to provide participants with holistic solutions and strategies for large-scale property investors, developers or buyers.
Join us for insights on the Malaysian property market landscape and how virtual tours are now used as an effective way to help buyers experience a property in the new normal from our expert speakers. - Tengku Dato' Ab. Aziz Tengku Mahmud, CEO, PNB Merdeka Ventures Sdn Bhd
- Siva Shanker, CEO, Real Estate Agency, Rahim & Co International Sdn Bhd
- James Goh, Head of Investments, Rahim & Co International Sdn Bhd

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and its socio-economic impact in Malaysia, we also welcome innovative projects that respond to this situation across the above themes. Project selection will take place through an open call to prospective applicants in two stages: 1) Expression of Interest (EOI) to outline how a proposed project responds to the call; and 2) full proposals for those shortlisted at the EOI stage.
UK PACT is funded by the UK Government’s Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) as part of the UK’s International Climate Finance (ICF) portfolio. The programme works in partnership with countries with high emissions reduction potential that are eligible for Official Development Assistance (ODA) to support them to implement and increase their ambitions for greenhouse gas reductions in line with their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and the long-term goal of the 2015 Paris Agreement to limit dangerous climate change. Since its inception in 2018, UK PACT has already supported 34 clean growth projects across China, Colombia and Mexico.
The UK PACT Country Programmes respond to demand identified by partner governments by providing grants to implementing partners (NGOs, businesses, academia, etc) who will deliver capacity-building support to address governments’ needs in areas such as green finance, clean energy and energy efficiency, and sustainable mobility.
