BMCC Member Nexus International School Ranked as Top IBDP School in Malaysia

The BMCC is proud to share that our member, Nexus International School Malaysia, is ranked as Top 2% Global IB Schools in the World and Top 50 in Asia according to Education Advisers Ltd (see IB-Schools.com), cementing its position as the Top IBDP School in Malaysia. The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) is the world’s fastest growing curriculum with more than 5,400 schools having adopted it to date.

A well-established and highly reputed international school founded in 2008, Nexus offers an innovative curriculum from pre-school right up to pre-university (Early Years, Year 1 to 13). The delivery of the curriculum is based on the philosophy of the school – The Nexus Way, which offers seamless transition in style, structure and approach to the IB Diploma Programme.

Mr David Griffiths, Principal of Nexus said, “Our teachers constantly attend, and often facilitate professional learning for the learners. They are highly experienced in providing the individualised mentoring and support that our IBDP learners require and deserve throughout their two-year pre-university course. This is absolutely critical to a successful IB Diploma Programme.”

Government to Review Expat Employment Pass Conditions: Your URGENT FEEDBACK is Required

Following the recent announcement by YB Dato Seri Hamzah Zainudin, Minister of Home Affairs of Malaysia, the Malaysian authorities are looking at reviewing the conditions for foreigners seeking to apply for an employment pass under the Expatriate category and, more specifically, the minimum salary level to be applied to these expatriates currently at RM10,000 for EP1, from RM5,000 to RM9,999 for EP2 and RM3,000 to RM4,999 for EP3.

In this context, the International Chambers of Commerce and Industry will organise a dialogue with the Ministry of Home Affairs next week to provide feedback from our business community and we are currently working on a common memorandum on the matter.

As the impact of the potential changes might affect your operations in Malaysia significantly, we are seeking your support to complete this questionnaire latest by Tuesday, 7 December 2021.
