BMCC and CCIFM Wrap Up Virtual Networking Session with Huge Success

On 28 July 2021, the BMCC and the CCI France Malaysia (CCIFM) jointly organised a timely virtual networking event for our members. Bringing together 30 members from both chambers across a wide range of sectors in the business matching endeavour, the event offered participants the opportunity to share their company’s updates and insights.

The virtual networking session, which was conducted in a relaxed atmosphere and included icebreaking games, was part of the BMCC's efforts to provide a casual platform for our members to engage with one another and exchange perspectives on corporate practices in order to adapt to changing business environments.

Participants found the session helpful and beneficial, and the overall feedback was "great networking!"  The event proceeded smoothly without a hitch and was easy to navigate in general.

Juliana from Knight Frank claimed that this event allowed her to reconnect with her network, while Leng lan Teoh from Sedunia Travel stated that it offered a better understanding of the challenges encountered by various industry players. Shaayla, who represented MustaphaRaj, agreed that the session was well organised and that it was a pleasure to meet other members.

We look forward to organising similar events in the future for the benefit of more members.

Carbon Footprint a Mystery to 9 Out of 10 Small Businesses

Research published today by the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) in partnership with O2 has found that only one in ten (11%) responding businesses, of more than 1,000 surveyed in the UK, are measuring their carbon footprint. This falls to 9% for small businesses, and 5% for microbusinesses, with fewer than 10 employees.

Following from this, the BCC and O2 have today launched a free online hub to help businesses find out how to measure their carbon footprint, set targets and develop an overall net zero strategy.
