Yolanda is currently the Coordinator of the Degree in English Studies at the University of Seville, Spain. She teaches courses in Translation and English at C levels (CEFR). Between 2002 and 2004, she received the annual Harvard University Derek Bok Center Award for Distinction in Teaching twice. Before becoming a full-time Senior Lecturer at the University of Seville, she worked for over 15 years in international and national universities such as Harvard and MIT in the US, Sup Europe (École de Commerce) and ESITC, in Caen (France), and Nebrija and Pablo de Olavide in Spain

Yolanda has two undergraduate degrees in English and Spanish Studies (U Huelva and U Seville, respectively) and three MA degrees: in Modern Literatures in English (Birkbeck, U of London), Translation and Multiculturality (U Seville), and University Teaching Innovation (U Huelva). She was awarded a PhD in Philology from the University of Seville, where she also received a European distinction and the Premio Extraordinario de Doctorado, an academic award given to top PhD recipients. She regularly publishes her research on several areas of Applied Linguistics in specialized journals and presses

Dr. Santos-Sopena holds a B.A., and M.A., in Foreign Languages and Literatures (English) from Universidad Complutense (Spain), a M.A., in Spanish Language and Literature from The Catholic University of America (Washington, D.C.), a Ph.D., Spanish Language, Literature, and Culture - Comparative and Cultural Studies from University of Maryland - College Park, and a Certificate in Arts Administration from New York University (NYU).
He organizes international and educational programs, coordinates cultural events, and designs communication, social media and digital marketing strategies to promote several international students' services and arts management initiatives.
As an educator, he holds a very active research agenda in using technology in language, culture, history, film, and literature higher education courses and Applied Linguistics. He is interested in Online, Blended-Hybrid, and e-Learning courses.
