Dr. Maria Akani

Psychiatrist. Clinical Neuropsychologist. Life Coach

Clinical Neuropsychologist. Life Coach
I am a psychiatrist, clinical neuropsychologist and a life coach who believes that change in a life or a community can always be achieved; Sometimes in ground-breaking ways but other times in subtle meaningful ways through mental health solutions. I promote optimal mental wellness because I believe that all progress depends on a sound mind both in leader and follower. I believe that mental wellness is not merely the absence of disease but the ability to exploit oneself and their abilities to full potential. This has been my inspiration for life coaching, mentorship and driving change.

I have over a decade of experience (in mental health as a clinician (practitioner), researcher, advocate and teacher. I have a heart for women and children with a special inclination towards abuse and its effects on individuals and communities. I believe in restoration of families and family values and the dignity and self-worth of the individual.
