James has 29 years of real estate experience and joined Knight Frank in Malaysia in 2015 to head up the Malaysian Capital Markets business. Over his career, he has worked in the United Kingdom and China with experience in investment, asset management, capital raising, consulting and fund management. He is a chartered valuation surveyor with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and over the years he has represented a wide spectrum of clients including sovereign wealth funds, government-linked corporations, pension funds, private equity real estate firms, and high-net-worth investors both globally and locally. At Knight Frank, he is focused on commercial properties, advising Malaysian investors to acquire and dispose of their overseas properties as well as being responsible for the disposal of investment properties in Malaysia.
With over a decade of experience in property and facility management, Hafiz has a strong background in sustainability and green building compliance. He is a registered energy manager, OSH coordinator, GBI facilitator, and GreenRE-accredited professional. Currently, Hafiz spearheads the corporate ESG strategy for Knight Frank in Malaysia, overseeing sustainability initiatives for the asset and property management divisions and providing ESG advisory services focusing on ESG assessment, green building consultancy, and carbon management.
Richard is a certified Green Building Index Facilitator, with deep knowledge and expertise on sustainability in the built environment. Richard is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and worked in the construction industry for 6 years, before moving into Tax to assist clients to identify their construction and fitout expenditure for capital allowances, a form of tax deduction.
Regular contributor to multi-stakeholder ESG conferences including the Green Build Conference 2022, focusing on greenhouse gas emissions, embodied carbon and green tax incentives. Led several green incentive workshops, guiding various clients in assessing green projects viable for green incentives.
Martin Haeger MBE, is a British architect, educated at Edinburgh University in the UK. He started his career at Skidmore Owings and Merrill in Chicago and worked briefly with Swanke, Hayden, Connell in New York before moving to Asia in 1991 where he was engaged by Architect William Lim and later with renowned Australian Architects Denton Corker Marshall. He established HL Design Group in Malaysia in 1994.
