Chong VOn Kee (CEO of InnoArk PTE. Ltd.)

Chong VOn Kee

CEO of InnoArk PTE. Ltd.

Topic: Industry 4.0. The ideal world, but where do I start?

Started as an Engineer in a Japanese multinational back in 1996, I spent most of my time on the factory floor and working with operators. The learning experience is fantastic, not only did I learn about manufacturing process, I also realise the importance of information, in an aggregated way.
Back then, all production information was only available in the MIS room for managers. As a junior, it was hard for me to make a decision without asking my manager for information. That makes me believe information is as important as the machine itself.
Fast forward by 10 years to 2006, I started to work on system solutioning and consultancy for manufacturing from quality control to data extraction from machines for process monitoring (also for autonomous and preventive maintenance), I have gone through the struggle and I understand the common pain points in manufacturing processes.
Fast forward another 10 years, 2016, the idea of Industry 4.0 pretty much sums up what I consider as the “dream world”. It is an ideal world. It is a journey. Going there is a trend with lots of challenges which I will gladly be sharing during my session in Asia Manufacturing Summit.

Circular Economy.

All companies across Asia, big and small, as they begin the transition to the Circular Economy will need
assistance in advancing resource management, the life cycle of the product and a cradle-to-cradle
Circular Design process. We are developing a Six Steps Towards a Circular Business program in order
to transition companies to Circular Business Models - CEA is your trusted partner.

Inviting Guest Editors from around the world, through CEA’s #CircularOctober program, CEA tailors its
