Ceceile Minott is the Head of the Caribbean Child Development Centre and the Director of the Consortium for Social Development and Research at the University of the West Indies Open Campus.

Mrs. Minott's academic interest centers on education and counseling, particularly at the early childhood and adolescent levels, and has been published in peer-reviewed journals in these areas. She led the team that developed the first Laboratory Preschool in Jamaica, the Continuing Education Programme in Early Childhood Education offered in the Caribbean region, and the first online MPhil/Ph.D. in Child, Adolescent, and Youth Studies for the University of the West Indies Open Campus.
