Dr. Karlus Allen, DC

Peace & Blessings! My name is Karlus Monte` Allen, but apparently, “Dr. K” has caught on really quickly since I became a Doctor of Chiropractic :-). After over a decade of dealing with chronic knee pain, allergy onset asthma, and all of the customary body aches that constitute the “I’m Just Gettin’ Old” mindset of the typical American man in his 40’s, just 6 weeks of regular Chiropractic care changed my life forever. The aggravating knee pain I would experience while constantly walking up and down the stairs of our Heights townhome was virtually gone, making for more enjoyable play time with my son and daughter. An active recording artist & musician, restoration of free, voluminous breathing allowed me to once again belt out those soul-stirring notes at my shows. Fast forward to about a year later, still enjoying a newfound “powered-on” life, I was happy, but yet still longed for the fulfillment of a deeper purpose for my life; and while my modest music career still provided great joy, it had not provided the stability/consistency that I desired as a Husband and Father. The months that would follow served to clearly illuminate Chiropractic as the pathway to the fulfillment I longed for, but the thought of the immenseness of it all was a source of fear and doubt. It was two heartfelt conversations, one with my amazing wife Deidra, a brilliant Medical Doctor herself, and another with my Chiropractor, that provided me with the resolve I needed to finally answer this calling. A graduate of Texas Chiropractic College, I am honored and overjoyed to be chosen to do this life-changing work. I would cherish the opportunity to explore how I may help guide you to your full life expression, and how New Power Chiropractic could meet your needs, both immediate and long term.

J.P. Whittaker, DC (Aligned Mentoring For Chiropractors)

J.P. Whittaker, DC

Aligned Mentoring For Chiropractors

Professionally, Dr. Whittaker has been a practicing chiropractor for the last 22 years. He is a 1998 Graduate of THE Prairie View A&M University, a historically black college and University. He earned his doctorate of Chiropractic in 2002 from TX Chiropractic College. He has treated patients from the ages of 3 months old to 103 years of age. He has owned the Whittaker Clinic of Chiropractic for the last 7 years.
Passionately, Dr. Whittaker is a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He came to Christ at a young age but did not develop a personal relationship with the Lord until his late 20’s. Growing closer to God led him to desire to help others do the same. Ministry to him is as simple as, “If YOU have a great steak at a restaurant, you encourage OTHERS to eat there. This is how I feel about God. My journey with God has been a wonderful experience. I want to help others to have their own.”
He is the Director of Diversity for Aligned Mentoring for Chiropractors (AMC.) This position began simply from the desire to see other minority chiropractors succeed. Students are taught about patient care in school but, are left to learn about business on their own. He hopes to help students and doctors avoid the common mistakes that many chiropractors make. A successful clinic owner must be a great practitioner as well as a growing entrepreneur, in order to achieve their dreams. Dr. Whittaker believes that individual success is good but success for many is most impactful for change in our community’s long term health care picture.
