Managing Director of Cloud Security Alliance, APAC

Aloysius Cheang is the Managing Director Asia Pacific for the Cloud Security Alliance. He is also an Adjunct Professor/Distinguished Fellow/Visiting Professor with a couple of universities including the Singapore Institute of Technology.

 He is a globally recognized cybersecurity and has worked on a wide variety of complex technology and business problems, delivering direct business values in strategic, complex multi-million dollar IT program and business projects for Global 500 organisations worldwide. AOver the years, he has slowly built up rapport and a personal relationship at the board and C-suite executive level of these Global 500 companies and with ministers and senior government officials worldwide.



An active community leader, Aloysius have supported many security movement and cultivated numerous security groups. Aloysius holds B.Sc (Hons) and Masters in Computer Science and is currently reading his Doctorate in Business Administration. His professional certifications include CISA, CISSP and GCIH. Aloysius’s views are valued by major media globally such as Times, Wall Street Journal, ZDNet, CIO, The Straits Times and ChannelNewsAsia as an independent source of specialist opinion.

Hing-Yan is Director of National Cloud Computing Office at the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore. He oversees the national programme in cloud computing. Under his purview are initiatives such as grid service provisioning, SaaS incubation centre, cloud innovation centre, SaaS Enablement Programme, Technology Evaluation Programme, Data-as-a-Service Programme, development of cloud security standards as well as collaboration in Open Cirrus and IBM Cloud Lab Singapore. Prior to this, Hing Yan was Deputy Director of National Grid Office at the Agency of Science, Technology and Research as well as Principal Scientist at the Institute for Infocomm Research. He also held senior management and technical positions at Kent Ridge Digital Labs, Japan-Singapore Artificial Intelligence Centre, Information Technology Institute (applied R&D arm of the National Computer Board) as well as two high-tech start-ups. Hing-Yan has served on the School of Digital Media & Infocomm Technology advisory panel at the Singapore Polytechnic, NatSteel Corporate R&D advisory panel, Singapore National Archives Board, and the Australia-Singapore Joint ICT Council. He is a Fellow of the Singapore Computer Society and vice-chair of the Cloud Computing Special Interest Group. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) in USA with PhD and MS degrees in Computer Science, specializing in artificial intelligence and software reuse. He previously studied at Imperial College London in UK where he obtained a BSc (Eng.) with 1st Class Honours in Computing and MSc in Management Science.

As the Head of Alliances & Strategic Channels, Richard Sheng is responsible to lead strategic alliance and channel partnerships in Asia Pacific to drive growth momentum in cloud, datacenter and cyber security – partnerships includes AWS, Microsoft, VMware, HP and IBM.
A 17-years veteran in IT security, Richard drives collaboration, alignment and synergy in the security ecosystem, to build customer confidence in addressing security challenges in a modernized datacenter, such as targeted attacks, security issues in highly virtualized datacenters, and meeting regulatory compliance in the public cloud. Prior to this role, Richard was the Sr. Director of Enterprise Marketing, where he oversaw solution marketing, go-to-market strategy and execution of sales-aligned marketing initiatives.

Edwin Seo brings more than 15 years of experience in Service Provider and Enterprise networking, infrastructure and security. Based in Singapore, Ed currently serves as F5's Regional Security Architect for the Asia Pacific and Japan regions where he assists, enables and architects F5 security solutions to support field teams. Ed has in-depth technical experience in DDoS attacks and mitigation , deep packet inspection, and data networking. Prior to F5, Ed served as the Regional Sales Engineering Manager for Asia Pacific at Arbor Networks, and held various Engineering roles at Cisco Systems in San Jose and Singapore.

Kaebin Tan (Security Solutions Manager at Quantiq International Services Pte Ltd )

Kaebin is responsible for managing Quantiq International’s engineering team with a focus on solutioning and designing security solutions for partners and end-users. He is able to understand the requirements of the customers, and come up with a cost-effective solution that may fit into the customers’ environment. Kaebin’s role also includes overseeing the proof-of-concept of the proposed solution, implementation of the proposed solution, all the way till the post-sale support of the solution. He has assisted numerous projects starting from the design phase all the way to the implementation and closures.

Prior to joining Quantiq International, Kaebin works as a security analyst in Academia Sinica, Taiwan. His role then, included vulnerability assessment, user awareness training, incident management, and the design and implementation of the SOC project within the company.

Kaebin holds a Masters in Information Technology and Management with a focus on Network Security and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Andreas Gehrmann (Senior Expert at TÜV Rheinland)

Andreas has twenty years experience in assessment, training, consultancy and business development in the Asia Pacific region. He spent more than ten years in the field of quality management, more than a decade in the field of risk management, information security, business continuity management, personal data protection and supply chain security. He has conducted assessments, training and consultancy based on diverse standards. During the recent years he has developed risk assessment services with focus on the needs of ICT Supply Chain Security, Smart Grid, Automotive and BPO Industry. Andreas has conducted PCI DSS assessments in the capacity as a PCI DSS QSA and provides PCI DSS consultancy. Currently he works as a freelance auditor while operating his own company, and develops solutions for risk management and consults on implementation of risk management. His academic interest is in the field of application semantic web technologies for complex risk and knowledge management. He holds a master of Physics from the Technical University Berlin, his bachelor degree covered Electronic Data Processing and Chemistry. He has received a research grant from the German DAAD.

Actively involved in Singapore's cyber-security landscape, he is a member of:- iDA’s Cyber Security Alliance and iDA’s work group on Cloud Outage Incidence Response; SITF's Security and Governance Chapter. David also leads Trend Labs Singapore and is responsible for malware analysis and incidence response.
