Kwilanzi Fisheries & Farms is a group of farms that was established in 2016. In the recent years, the farm has grown and diversified into four groups of farms situated across the country;
- Kwilanzi Crop & Vegetable Farm: situated in Mkushi. The farm sits on slightly over 1000ha of arable land and largely grows soya beans at 250 metric tons per year and tomato at 270 boxes per day in the peak dry season.
- Kwilanzi Poultry & Piggery Farm: like the crop and vegetable farm is situated in Mkushi and rears egg laying chickens, broiler chickens and free range chickens. The farm produces eggs at a capacity of 700 trays per day and a weekly cycle of 5000 broiler chickens per week. The farm also sales porkers averaging 50 per week to local butcheries.
- Kwilanzi Avo & Ranch Farm: is an avocado tree plantation and cattle and goat ranch situated in Lufwanyama sitting on a 110ha farm. The plantation currently has 16000 ratio of 4:1 hass and fuerte trees in their second year while the ranch has a herd of 35 cattle and over 400 goats.
- Kwilanzi Fish & Fish Fingerlings: the fish farm is located along the Luanshya road and sits on 5ha farm. It’s involved in tilapia and car fish farming and expected this month to start producing 5tons of the fish and 250,000 fish fingerlings per month.
The current group CEO, Mr. Raymond Sikanyika is a former librarian who worked for Copperbelt University Library for 20 years and also served as LIAZ Editor between 2019/20. He still remains a very active member of the association
