5th ASEAN Insurance Summit

The ASEAN Insurance Council is organizing the 5th ASEAN Insurance Summit (AIS), focusing on the theme of ASEAN Insurance Industry's Transformation and Sustainability: Accelerating Ambitions into Actions on 5th December 2023. This year the ASEAN Insurance Summit will be held in Ha Long, Vietnam. This conference will see insurance and takaful industry players, regulators, technology companies, inter-governmental agencies, as well as complementary services providers to the industry from the region come together to discuss the future of the industry.

ASEAN is arguably the most exciting insurance market in the world, supported by a large and rapidly growing population ready to reap the benefits of new insurance products and services offered in the post-COVID era. This year, the Summit aims to bring together key stakeholders to facilitate mutual sharing of valuable insights into strategy and policy making. At the same time, it provides a platform for delegates to keep abreast of the ASEAN Economic Community's (AEC) progress and developments of the insurance sector while moving together in tandem towards achieving the aims of the AEC Blueprint 2025.

This conference aims to discuss the various innovative solutions and technological advancements in the insurance industry that have and will enhance customer experience, products and services. This event will explore the insurance markets and the development impact of this industry in the ASEAN region. We will look at how the industry is evolving to meet the needs of the customer while leveraging on latest advancements. We will look at the opportunities and threats to continued industry growth and development. This event will showcase the dynamism and innovation of the insurance marketplace and serve as a platform where views can be exchanged on how to address obstacles and challenges.

We will have sessions to discuss amongst others the future of insurance, strengthening industry resilience, innovation in insurance, sustainability and the role of insurers, protection gaps and ways and means to develop a highly skilled industry workforce. In AIS 2023, we hope to build on the success of past conferences and break new ground in looking at how to accelerate ambitions into actions for the good of the ASEAN insurance industry.
