As the Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India, he is responsible for coordinating the Digital India programme. Vikram Sharma is the Founder and CEO of quantum cyber-security leader, QuintessenceLabs. He has over 20 years’ experience in building and managing technology companies. Beginning his career as a programmer and systems analyst, Vikram went on to work as a consultant with a number of companies and government agencies in Australia. He then founded two successful start-up ventures in the information technology services sector – the first, a consulting company providing IT services to the Federal Government in Australia, and the other, one of India’s first private ISPs - before
starting QuintessenceLabs in 2008.
Vikram holds a master of science in computer science from The Australian National University, a master of science in management (Sloan) from Stanford University, and a doctorate in quantum physics from The Australian National University.
Vikram was presented the Pearcey Award for Entrepreneurship in 2013. He led QuintessenceLabs to finish as joint global runner-up, from a field of 2,500+ companies, in IBM’s SmartCamp competition in 2013. In early 2014 the Australian Information Industry Association named QuintessenceLabs as Australia’s most innovative small company. In 2015 QuintessenceLabs was chosen for the prestigious SINET 16 Security Innovation Network (SINET) award.
Vikram has spoken at numerous conferences and events, including most recently at the National FinTech Cyber-Security Summit in Sydney in May 2016. Upcoming events include a presentation at the inaugural SINET 61 event in September 2016.
In his current role at HPE India, Hitesh Sharma helps customers prepare and support individuals, teams and organizations throughout technology change transition through the effective use of change management practices, training interventions and learning technologies. Previously, Hitesh has worked with NIIT Ltd. where his responsibilities included education solution design for Central & State government departments, large IT and non-IT corporates and management schools. Between these two companies Hitesh has an experience in multifarious roles spanning pre-sales, product development, product management, pre-sales and competency development.
Hitesh is an Electronics Engineer from National Institute of Technology Surat and has done a post-graduation in management from Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode. He has also been a speaker in various conferences and meets where he has shared his views on emerging frontiers of technology.
Sanjay has overall 24 years of experience specializing in product development, sales, product marketing, consulting and operations across Telecom and IT domain. He started his career with HCL – HP as R&D Engineer responsible to develop X.25 based messaging system based out of Noida, India following which he moved to Canada to work for NEC as Group leader – ISDN switching to develop the first ISDN switching system for European (ETSI) specifications. From NEC, he moved to work for CSELT, Italy to develop the testing protocols for Net 5 standards. He further moved on to work for Mitel Corporation, Canada to join their ATM development team based out of Ottawa, which later led to heading their sales operations for South East Asia and Middle East based out of Singapore.
From Mitel, he moved on to work for Alcatel, Singapore to head their product marketing for fiber optics product as Product Manager – Fiber Optics. He was responsible for putting the global strategy for DWDM based products greater than 2 Gb/s. Following Alcatel, He joined Lucent Technologies, Singapore as Regional Director – SEA & Japan heading the professional services and consulting business. Post, Lucent technologies, he joined Sun Microsystems to spearhead their Professional Services and Consulting business before joining SAS Inc, Singapore as Managing Director to head their Singapore Operations.
From SAS Inc, he moved back to India to head data center business for Reliance as Executive President before taking up the entrepreneurial plunge as CEO/Director for Biz India Ventures responsible for building several technology initiatives such as System Integration, Campus Networking, Data Center Services and Telepresence Solutions/Services.
Dr. Emmanuel Shubhakar Pilli is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science of Engineering in Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur. He received his M. Tech (Computer Science) from Birla Institute of Technology Ranchi in 2001 and Ph. D (Computer Science) from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee for his thesis on "A Framework for Network Forensic Analysis" in 2012. He was awarded the ISEA Fellowship by the Department of Information Technology, Govt. of India, for his research in Information Security.
He has 19 years of Teaching, Research and Administrative experience. He has guided 24 M. Tech dissertations and around 30 B. Tech projects. He is currently guiding 4 M. Tech and 9 Ph. D students in the areas of his interest - Security, Forensics, Cloud Computing, Big Data & IoT. He has 45 papers in International Journals and Conferences of repute. He has conducted workshops in the areas of Network Simulators, WSN, Big Data, and Parallel Computing.
Dr. Pilli is a Senior Member (IEEE), Life Member (CSI) and Member (ACM), and an active participant in their professional activities. He is founder member of the Cloud Computing Innovation Council of India (CCICI) and also the Chair of Workgroup 3.2 on Cloud Security. He is also a member of the Cloud Computing Forensic Science Work Group (CC-FSWG), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA. He has completed a research project "Investigating the Source of Spoofed E-mails" from UCOST, Dehradun and is coauthoring a book "Fundamentals of Network Forensics - A Research Perspective" for Springer.
Dr. Sanjeev Singh had worked in the area of optical electronics and obtained his Doctorate in Electronics in 1997 from University of Delhi. For the last fifteen years, apart from teaching post-graduate course of M.Sc. in Informatics, he is working in the area of networks, security and communication technologies. He had published over 50 research publications in international/national journals and conferences. He has been a visiting fellow to University of Manchester in Science and Technology (UMIST), UK under Commonwealth Fellowship.
He spearheaded an innovative project “Cross Cultural Innovation Network” sponsored by European Commission. He has completed several major research projects sponsored by various government agencies of India. He is on the advisory panel of various learned bodies. He is a member of National IT committee, FICCI. He has been principal coordinator for UK India Education and Research Initiative (UKIERI-I) project. He had conducted various traing programs and workshops for faculty development of different Universities and Institution across the country.
Dr. Singh is Network Fellow of Commonwealth Partnership in Technology Management (CPTM), London, UK. He is member of the Innovation cluster and Science & Technology Parks (STPs) forum, Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Korea. He is also Fellow of EU-India Cross Cultural Innovation Network. He is a certified professional for development of Science and Technology Parks and Innovation Clusters.
Dr. Singh has conceptualized and implemented first e-learning framework for University of Delhi, where he is in-charge for ICT and e-learning initiatives. He has implemented the first virtual learning environment at the University, by which all the colleges across the city may collaborate for effective teaching and learning. He has designed and implemented University Information Management System. He current research area is IoT based System Design and their security models.
Jaspreet is a Partner with EY India in the Advisory practice, leading Cyber Security solutions for North India, focusing on the Technology, Media, Outsourcing and Telecom sector. Jaspreet has worked across a broad range of companies in Telecom, Technology, ITES, Media and Entertainment sectors. His primary focus is on Cyber/ Business Resilience Strategy & Planning, Crisis Management, Cyber risk, Security Incident Response, Governance, Risk & Compliance

His research interests include Distributed Systems and Security Engineering. Gaurav Somani is an Assistant Professor at Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Central University of Rajasthan, India. He has completed his M.Tech. in Information and Communication Technology from DAIICT, Gandhinagar India and B.E. in Information Technology from University of Rajasthan, India both with a distinction. He is pursuing his PhD from MNIT, Jaipur, India. His research interests include Distributed Systems and Security Engineering. He has published number of papers in various conferences and journals of international repute and reviewer of many top journals. He is also been a reviewer many top journals in security and cloud computing. He is a member of IEEE and ACM.
