Panel Legal Expert Session 1:
Coming from a family of small business owners, Emma has pursued her passion for defending businesses in various employment-related matters. Her clients can always rely on her to be dedicated, responsive, practical, and creative in helping them solve their legal problems.
From advising businesses on how to comply with state and federal labor and employment laws, to defending employers in litigation, Emma genuinely enjoys working with clients to find solutions. Emma believes that in order to mitigate damages and risks, a business must be advised and educated on the ever-changing landscape of employment and labor law. Most importantly, she helps businesses maximize their business goals while also making the best choices to increase the morale and satisfaction of their employees.
Emma spent her final year of law school clerking at the EEOC’s headquarters in Washington D.C.—this experience has given her a rich insight in how the EEOC approaches investigations and litigation. She also practices in general litigation and loves being in the courtroom. Emma has litigated various matters arising from employment discrimination and retaliation claims, unpaid overtime wage claims, business torts, and various real estate disputes.
Outside of work, Emma enjoys doing anything outdoors with her three-legged dog, Barkley. She is a lover of reading, particularly legal thrillers (shocker!) and non-fiction. She moved to Phoenix in August of 2016 and has enjoyed every minute of it.
