Based at the British High Commission in Kuala Lumpur, Sri leads on energy trade development in Southeast Asia for Scottish Development International, the Scottish Government’s international economic agency, focusing on offshore and renewable energy opportunities in Malaysia, distributed generation in Indonesia, hydrogen and decommissioning in Brunei, and offshore wind in Vietnam.
Prior to joining SDI, Sri worked on trade promotion and policy projects for the British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce, working closely with the UK Department for International Trade, and sat on the Chamber’s energy committee. He began his career with BP.
Norazan Abdul Kadir holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering from Colorado School of Mines. In his current role as Head of Wells Management, Resource Development & Management, MPM, he plays a pivotal role in ensuring that wells drilled, operated and maintained by PETRONAS and its Affiliates are carried out safely and efficiently. Prior to his current position, Norazan specialized in many facets of well delivery including planning, HSE & Risk Management, Well Surveillance and Project Execution. He has also held various leadership positions in PETRONAS’s drilling department, including tenures as Manager Workover & Head Wells Intervention and Head Wells International. Norazan has a wealth of international experience as well. His first international assignment was in 2004 when he was assigned to the Rehmat Development Project in Pakistan. Later, as the Head of Wells for PETRONAS Indonesia, he has also led the successful delivery of wells during both exploration and development campaigns.More information about speaker
Alex is the Well Applications Manager (Eastern Hemisphere) for BiSN based in Aberdeen. After gaining a Masters of Engineering in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh, Alex started out as a wireline logging field engineer working in Oklahoma, Texas and Alberta before returning to the UK and Aberdeen where he gained offshore experience as well as further international experience. He moved through roles in well services, new technology R&D and operations before joining BiSN in March.More information about speaker
