Representing one of Europeโs leading arbitral institutions, the Vienna International Arbitral Centre (โVIACโ) serves as a focal point for the settlement of commercial and investment disputes in the regional and international community. It has greatly benefited from its traditional position in a neutral country between east and west. Founded in 1975 as a department of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, VIAC has in recent years enjoyed a steadily increasing caseload from a diverse range of parties. VIAC has administered over 2,500 proceedings since its inception and is thereby one of the most experienced arbitration centres in the region.

The Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA, Association Suisse de lโArbitrage) is a non-profit association with over 1000 members in Switzerland and all over the world. ASA is Switzerlandโs leading arbitration organisation and brings together the worldโs most eminent arbitration practitioners from six continents and 50+ jurisdictions. For around 50 years, ASA has been promoting domestic and international arbitration as well as alternative dispute resolution. Since 2021, ASA is also the majority stakeholder of the Swiss Arbitration Centre, Switzerlandโs leading commercial arbitration institution. The Centre is well known for its Swiss Rules, the golden standard for arbitration and mediation. As a platform of expertise, the Centre is supported by a global network of arbitration and ADR users, legal professionals, and the chambers of commerce of Basel, Bern, Central Switzerland, Geneva, Neuchรขtel, Ticino, and Zurich.
