Malaysia's international education sector has grown tremendously in the last two decades and is fast becoming a favourite destination in Southeast Asia for international students. Many of Malaysia's educational institutes are ranked in the top 200 universities in the world, offering not just local qualifications but also international degrees from countries such as the UK. Moreover, Malaysia has become a preferred country for foreign university branch campuses.
Malaysia stands out as a great place for high quality education, at an affordable price. It also offers students a comfortable and enjoyable living environment. However, there are still barriers for international students, especially opportunities for employability during their studies and after graduation.
This half-day forum will seek to discuss on the opportunities and benefits to leverage on the pool of talent of international students in Malaysia and understanding how key stakeholders within the higher education ecosystem can work together to overcome these barriers. In addition, the forum will have a "Student Voice" platform where student leaders (local & international) will share their views on the subject.
