CEDAM's 2025 Real Estate Development Boot Camp

Jubek has managed and closed multimillion dollar real estate transactions for multifamily and single-family new construction and acquisition rehab deals using low income housing tax credits (LIHTC), new markets tax credits (NMTC), grants, and an array of public and private capital. Jubek has managed key project tasks including feasibility analyses, budget development and management, and city review processes. Jubek has also initiated partnerships with civic, health, community, and faith-based organizations to implement social justice initiatives throughout the nation.
Jubek has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Community Action Social Change from the University of Michigan, and a Master in Regional Planning with a concentration in Economic and Community Development from Cornell University.

Jubek loves traveling, gardening, and taking photos of Detroit’s historic architecture and remarkably beautiful murals. Jubek was raised in metro-Detroit and the great city of Flint.

Brandon is the Principal and Founder of Tribe Development, an impact real estate development firm based in Detroit, MI. Previously, Brandon served as Director of Real Estate Development for East Jefferson Development Corporation (EJDevCo) where he was responsible for the development, execution, and lease up of the company’s real estate portfolio. Brandon has also worked in development for The Platform, where he led the firm’s affordable housing strategy and facilitated retail and small business curation for the development portfolio.

Brandon received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He resides in the Jefferson Chalmers neighborhood of Detroit with his wife and daughter.

Jason Jones is the founder and Managing Member of Tekton
Development. He is responsible for all strategic activities of the
company and personally underwrites and manages every development
the organization undertakes. Jason is a Detroit native and an honors
graduate of the University of Detroit Jesuit High School. He holds a
Bachelor of Arts in Economics and is an active alumnus of
Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. Jason founded Tekton
Development in 2016. He is also a co-Founder and current Executive
Committee member of the Real Estate Association of Developers
(READ). He is a proud husband and father of two boys. He and his
family reside in the Boston-Edison neighborhood of Detroit, Michigan.

As the real estate program manager, Sandy oversees all aspects of CEDAM’s real estate development work, including Regional Housing Plan implementation support, delivery and expansion of our signature Real Estate Boot Camp, and supporting our affordable housing advocacy work, with a focus on convening our members around issues related to the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program and the Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP).

As CEDAM’s director of communications & training, Emily ensures CEDAM and its members build influence around community economic development issues in Michigan. She engages with our members by providing members with policy and program updates; promoting their projects and accomplishments; developing capacity-building tools like trainings, webinars and other materials; and implementing trainings and conferences.

As the part-time real estate program specialist, Teresa supports the regional leads working on implementing Regional Housing Plans around the state and the expansion of the Real Estate boot camp.
