Raymond M. Brown has been a trial lawyer, teacher, and legal journalist since 1974. He is a partner in the Litigation Department of Pashman Stein Walder Hayden and focuses his practice in white collar criminal defense, international human rights compliance, internal investigations, and complex commercial litigation on behalf of individuals, corporations, and government entities. He is also a Co-Founder of the International Justice Project, a non-profit organization which has been engaged in the struggle against Genocide in Darfur for more than a decade. He represents victims in the Darfur situation at the International Criminal Court at The Hague and has represented an accused at the Special Court for Sierra Leone.

His political consciousness was formed in a segregated housing project in Jersey City when he participated with his father Raymond A. Brown, the greatest civil rights leader he ever knew, in his first picket line at Woolworths in support of student sit-ins in North Carolina. A devoted advocate for human rights, Raymond was a student activist and an important participant in the 1968 occupation of Columbia University. He is passionate about issues concerning high incarceration rates, police conduct, domestic and international human rights, DEIJ (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice), and race.

The recipient of numerous honors and awards, Brown also hosted the Emmy Award-winning New Jersey Network public Television program, “Due Process” and served as an Anchor at Court TV.

Karen D. Gwynn, Esq, received a dual B.A. degree in Psychology and Law Enforcement from the University of Maryland in 1986 and a J.D. degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1990. After graduating from Law School, she clerked for the Honorable Betty J. Lester, Superior Court Judge, Newark, New Jersey 1990-1991. She began her career as an Assistant Prosecutor with the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office on May 3, 1993. During her time at the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office she has worked in various sections in the office such as the Grand Jury, Screening, Drug Court, Trial Unit, Domestic Violence, Megan’s Law, Sex Crimes, Cyber Crimes, and presently she is assigned to the Juvenile Unit. She was instrumental in developing the Drug Court Program in Bergen County. She has participated in numerous community service events and programs on behalf of the Prosecutor’s office Community Affairs Task Force, Including, developing and organizing programs involving Youth and their Interaction with Law Enforcement and Meals on Wheels. Ms. Gwynn is a member of the National Black Prosecutor’s Association where she served as Vice President of Programs for seven years. Ms. Gwynn is the newly elected President of the Black Prosecutors Association of New Jersey 2020-2021, which is a local chapter of the National Black Prosecutors Association. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., Bergen County Alumnae Chapter were she participates on the Social Action, Nomination and Social Planning Committees. As part of these committees she has participated in their Domestic Violence Program, Pipeline: from the Classroom to the Court room program, Human Trafficking and Interacting with Law Enforcement program. Ms. Gwynn is a member of the Garden State Bar Association, the Association of Black Women Lawyers, the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Bergen County Bar Association (co-chair of the juvenile practice committee), the Black Lawyers Alliance Association, the Association of Black Women Lawyers, and the Honorable Marie White Bell, American Inn of Court.

Armando R. Horta, Esq., is a proud graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelors of Science in Crime, Law & Justice and a minor in Sociology. Mr. Horta graduated from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2010. After graduation from Seton Hall University, Mr. Horta had the honor of completing a one-year Judicial Clerkship with the Honorable Bonnie J. Mizdol, A.J.S.C. during the time that Judge Mizdol was the Presiding Judge of the Family Part in Bergen County. Upon completion of his Judicial Clerkship in 2011, Mr. Horta began practicing in the private sector with the law Firm of Budd Larner, P.C. as an associate in their Family Law Department. Mr. Horta then went on to eventually establish his own law Firm, The Horta Law Group, LLC. in 2014. Since entering the private sector, Mr. Horta has devoted his practice to Divorce and Family Law related matters. Mr. Horta was admitted to the New Jersey and New York Bars in 2011. Mr. Horta is also a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Bergen County Bar Association and previously served as the President of the Young Lawyers Division as well as the Young Lawyers Trustee to the Bergen County Bar Association. In addition, Mr. Horta was previously the Vice-Chair for the District IIA Fee Arbitration Committee and continues to serve as a Panel Chair for a panel on the committee. Mr. Horta also serves as a panelist for the Bergen County Superior Court Matrimonial Early Settlement Panel Program.

Shireen B. Meistrich, LCSW is the Past President of the New Jersey Council of Collaborative Practice Groups. She is a collaborative divorce coach with the Collaborative Divorce Association of North Jersey and has been a member of the practice group since 2007, serving as both the Past President and past Vice-President. Shireen is also a founding member of the New Jersey State Council for Collaborative Practice Groups and has served in this capacity since 2008. In 2016,she was the first mental health president of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, the global organization serving the collaborative community. Shireen has trained in the collaborative process and has given multiple presentations in the United States and in Europe to help practice groups grow into integrated interdisciplinary and integrated communities. Shireen has an extensive therapeutic practice working with divorcing families and individuals. She serves as a family reintegration therapist, an individual therapist and a Parent Coordinator.

Asaad K. Mr. Siddiqi maintains strong ties with the Federal and State Judiciaries through leadership roles for specialty bar associations, service on the New Jersey Supreme Court Committees, and as vice chair and ten-year board member of the New Jersey Lawyer Magazine. Mr. Siddiqi is also a member of the board of trustees for the Association of the Federal Bar of New Jersey and is also a trustee of the Bergen County Bar Association and a member of its Diversity in the Profession Committee. He earned his B.A. in History at Rutgers College, Rutgers University in 1998 and his J.D. from St. John’s School of Law in 2001. Following law school, Mr. Siddiqi clerked for the Hon. Madeline Cox Arleo, U.S.M.J. (now U.S.D.J.). After clerking for Judge Arleo, Mr. Siddiqi joined the firm of Walder Hayden (now Pashman Stein Walder Hayden) and eventually became a shareholder.
