George Thomson is currently Deputy Trade Commissioner for South East Asia at the Department for International Trade (DIT), and is based in Singapore. In this role George is responsible for DIT teams in nine South East Asian countries as well as its interface with the ASEAN Secretariat. Prior to this he was Chief Operating Officer for DIT across the Asia Pacific region, and before that Senior Private Secretary to the Secretary of State for International Trade.
Muhammad Azmi Zulkifli is the Chief Executive Officer of InvestKL.
In his current role as Chief Executive Officer, he leads the teams to identify, facilitate, and develop solutions for MNCs to locate their high value regional hubs in Greater KL and Malaysia. The focus sectors include oil & gas, healthcare, FMCG, business and financial services. To date, InvestKL team led by Azmi has successfully brought in more than 100 MNCs to set up regional headquarters or hubs within Greater KL.
He joined InvestKL in 2012 as Director of Investor Relations for the European Region.
Prior to InvestKL, Azmi has over 16 years’ experience in leadership and management positions spanning commercial business, business transformation and operations with MISC Berhad, a subsidiary of Petronas. He participated in MISC’s business transformation initiatives and was part of a leadership team to re-engineer, develop and commission a global ICT system throughout MISC offices globally.
Azmi holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Marketing) from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, USA.
Natasha Pheiffer started her career in the defence industry working for the Society of British Aerospace Companies (SBAC) in London.
She joined BAE Systems in 1998 in South Africa and moved to the systems integration business in the UK on secondment in 2004 leading the brand and promotions team. She was also Acting Head of Communications for eight months before returning to South Africa.
Natasha joined the land sector part of BAE Systems in South Africa in 2007 to transform and implement the communications department and assumed the role of Business Development Director in 2011. In her eight years spent at this business unit she took on several extra roles including Quality Assurance and Ethics Officer, acting Communications Director for the wheeled business in Houston, Texas and was part of the management committee of the both the South African and US land organisations.
Natasha joined the Group Business Development team at BAE Systems Plc in April 2015. In November 2016 Natasha took on the role as Business Development and Strategy Director for the Land UK division. In December 2018 Natasha moved to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to take on the role of Managing Director Asia for BAE Systems International.
Natasha was a member of the International Women’s Forum Leadership Foundation 2011-2012 Fellows Class, a group of 35 women leaders from 14 different countries. As part of the Class, she completed executive programmes at both Harvard Business School and INSEAD.
Natasha holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management from the University of South Africa.
Paul Gibbons, a British national, who together with his family, have resided in Malaysia for the last 28 years. Paul is currently managing Director of Sports Direct Malaysia and MST Golf Management and a Director of MST Golf. He oversees the business operation of general sports retailing, golf events management & golf academies.
Prior to joining MST Group, he was for 12 years, Sales & Marketing Director of Asia Pacific for Amer Sports, owner of Wilson, Suunto & Saloman brands. He was also previously with C.C.A. International which manages numerous golf resorts around the Asian Pacific region.
