Hope Thatcher

Hope Thatcher

Hope Thatcher is the wife of Mark Thatcher and the mother of (2) lovely daughters, EM who is
27 and Nikki who is 24.
Hope graduated with a BA in Biological Sciences, pre-med from the University of Maryland,
Baltimore. After much deliberation, she decided not to pursue med school and instead found
success in telecom and network sales. After consistently exceeding her sales quota as a
National Account Executive at WorldCom, Hope had the confidence of starting her own
business in 1998 so she can work at home and be with EM, who was at that time, 2 1/2 years
old. Having identified a need in the marketplace, she founded em-tel communications and
became a trusted advisor offering various telecom and network solutions, as well as bill
auditing.
Em-tel Communications is now a certified Women’s Business Enterprise through WBENC with
25 years’ experience working with enterprise clients. Em-tel is a strong advocate for the
customer and has built a reputation for professional integrity, unparalleled responsiveness, and
accountability.
Em-tel is committed to contributing to causes dear to our hearts. We donate locally to Beloved
Atlanta, an organization empowering women and children who have been trafficked.
Additionally, we are humbled by the mission of Tunnel to Towers to provide mortgage free
homes to Gold Star and first responder families with young children. Just recently, we were
introduced to PAC and we are honored to donate to them as they provide medical services and
parenting education to women regardless of financial ability, race, age, or religion. Em-tel is
blessed to have the opportunity to give back to such important and much needed
organizations.
