Sister Loretta de Domenicis

Sister Loretta de Domenicis

Sister Loretta de Domenicis is a Salesian Sister of St. John Bosco. Sisters in her order are Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, and their Charism in the Church is ministry with young people. There are four Salesian Sisters in Columbus, with Sister Loretta serving at the St. Thomas More Newman Center at The Ohio State University.

Sister Loretta grew up in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and is an ocean girl. She is one of six siblings, and she enjoys catching and eating crabs. The Salesian Sisters were very much a part of their education, and their joy was contagious and captivating.

She loves her vocation and can truly say with our Mother Mary, “The Almighty has done great things for me, and holy is His name!” (Luke 1:49) Young people are her love, and together with them, she walks the journey of life with Jesus in the Holy Eucharist and Mary Help of Christians in the spirit of St. John Bosco and St. Mary Mazzarello.
