Jane Edmond M.D.
Jane Edmond, MD, is the Wong Family Distinguished University Chair & Professor, Department of Ophthalmology Director, Mitchel and Shannon Wong Eye Institute. She is the president-elect of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, an organization of 30,000 US and international members. She was past president of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. Dr. Edmond is one of 30 pediatric neuro-opthalmologists in the country. Dr. Edmond attended the University of Texas-Austin for her undergrad and the Baylor College of Medicine for her MD.
Eileen Bowden M.D.
Eileen Bowden, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist in UT Health Austin’s Mitchel and Shannon Wong Eye Institute. She specializes in adult and pediatric glaucoma as well as cataract and anterior segment disorders of the eye. Additionally, Dr. Bowden is an assistant professor and serves as both the Director of Medical Student Education and the Associate Residency Program Director for the Dell Medical School Department of Ophthalmology. Dr. Bowden attended the University of Texas-Austin for her undergrad degree in Business and the Baylor College of Medicine for her MD.
Eric Crowell M.D.
Eric Crowell, MD, MPH, is a board-certified ophthalmologist in UT Health Austin’s Mitchel and Shannon Wong Eye Institute. He specializes in adult and pediatric uveitis and ocular immunology as well as cataract and anterior segment disorders of the eye. Additionally, Dr. Crowell is an assistant professor and serves as the Medical Director of the Mitchel and Shannon Wong Eye Institute and the Network Ophthalmology Specialty Service Chief for the Ascension Seton Hospital System. Dr. Crowell attended the University of Texas-Austin for his undergraduate degree in Business, his Masters at the University of Texas School of Public Health and the McGovern School at UTHealth for his MD.
