Dr. E is a trailblazer in nurse practitioner education, spearheading EG Prep, an innovative company dedicated to equipping Nurse Practitioners students with the clinical confidence needed for excellence in primary care. In addition, Efrat owns and operates EG Healthcare, a medical practice serving over 20,000 patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric spectrums. With extensive experience from her work at a state women’s carceral facility, her passion is focused on improving healthcare outcomes and reducing disparities for incarcerated pregnant individuals. Janee’ earned both her BSN and MSN from Winston-Salem State University and completed her DNP at Georgetown University, where she was honored as the 2023 DNP Scholar of Distinction.

Dr. Valdez is a Professor of Nursing at Sonoma State University and the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Emergency Nursing. She is currently serving as co-chair of the ENA DEI Committee. Dr. Valdez served as a subject matter expert on the inaugural National Commission to Address Racism in Nursing and was a contributing author of the Commission’s foundational paper on racism in nursing. She is currently serving as an independent Commissioner. Dr. Valdez has presented nationally on antiracism, bias, environmental justice, health equity, and DEI. She has taught thousands of nurses and health care professionals about providing inclusive, unbiased, and equitable care. Her research and publications include emergency nursing, DEI, bias, antiracism in nursing, and health equity. Dr. Valdez was selected as one of the 20 nurse leaders advocating for health equity to follow on social media. In 2022 and 2023, she was selected as Brexi’s 30 best nurse influencers to follow on social media.
