How Fungi Can Inspire Rethinking Conservation & Stewardship

Aaron Tupac (they/them) is a mycologist, educator, community organizer, and speaker based in Los Angeles. Aaron is the organizer of the fungi-focused community education group Exploring the Mycoverse. Aaron serves the chair of the North American Mycological Association’s Conservation and Stewardship Committee. Aaron works for the Fungal Diversity Survey as a fungi collector on their California Fungal Diversity Survey Project, the first government-funded state-wide project of its kind. Aaron is currently working on a book with the publisher Heyday about how to be in better relationship with fungi.
