What is COP - COE?

COP is a Reporting mechanism for Companies and SME, while COE is a Reporting mechanism for NGO and Academia.

Companies, SME, NGO and Academia (as members) are to implement the Global Compact principles as minimum requirements for participating in the Global Compact and need to report periodically to easily communicate progress with stakeholders and to fulfill the minimum requirements for GC Active status.

While the Clinic was primarily developed for smaller or less experienced companies, it is also relevant for larger and more experienced companies seeking basic guidance on comprehensive implementation of all the principles and the basic rules of participation.

COP (Communication on Progress)

To assist you in developing your COP, importantly, your COP must be submitted online before your deadline in order to fulfil your annual reporting commitment.

Your COP should be fully integrated into your company's main stakeholder communications, most often your annual or sustainability report.

COE (Communication on Engagement)

To assist you in developing your COE, importantly, the COE must be submitted online before your deadline in order to fulfill your reporting commitment.

The COP–COE Clinic is open to representatives from UN Global Compact members (the private sector, the public sector, institutions, and academia).
