As institutions driving thought-leadership, innovation and technology in Zambia and beyond, the Payments and Fintech Association of Zambia (PAYZ) in conjunction with the Information and Communications Technology Association of Zambia (ICTAZ) plan to host the first ever International ICT Expo and Fintech Festival 2022 on 22nd – 23rd September 2022 under the theme "Enhancing Digital Security, Resilience and Skills for Sustainable Digital Transformation through innovation, collaboration & inclusion."
As the Fintech and ICT space continues to grow, we see an exponentially increasing need for players, regulators, consumers and other stakeholders to remain connected and in sync in terms of emerging trends, best practices and innovation in product development and service delivery and that is why this ICT Expo and Fintech Festival is key in achieving this goal taking into account Zambia's digital transformation agenda and the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has continued to have on business operating in Zambia's ecosystem, even amidst challenges such as the global COVID-19 pandemic.
"We are seeing the government, businesses and consumer behaviour transform faster than ever before. It is our firm belief that technology and information are increasingly playing an important and pivotal role in driving this change. As such, we see the festival as an opportunity to bring together like-minded players and stakeholders for open engagement and knowledge transfer as well as strengthening the indigenous fraternity in the wake of the exponential growth witnessed in the industry locally and globally. The festival will converge leading players in business, government, technology and world-class financial services solution providers in order to showcase their products and services and be able to engage in conversations that help with navigating shifting landscapes, help businesses embrace and drive the transition to a digital economy and unmask the power of technology. International ICT Expo & FinTech Festival - 2022 will also provide an opportunity for various stakeholders to conduct critical dialogue and interactive engagements related to promotion of digital transformation. The Expo aims to further the levels of engagement between Information and Technology professionals, engage in critical expert dialogues and provide a platform to exhibit the best in industry innovations and advance policy environment to further enhance the IT profession.
