Michelle Okere
Founder and Principal of Okere and Associates at Okere and AssociatesMichelle Okere is the Founder and Principal of Okere and Associates, a national management
consulting firm that helps organizations attract diverse talent, strengthen stakeholder
relationships, and contribute to a more equitable society.
Michelle is the Chair of PolicyWise for Children and Families, Chair of the Truth & Reconciliation Committee for the YWCA Edmonton, and a University of Alberta Senate member.
In 2021, Michelle co-founded the REET Institute, which educates, trains, and equips racialized youth
with the necessary skills to enter into commercial real estate, and provides students with
scholarships and internship opportunities.
Passionate about community engagement, Michelle has won a Deputy Minister’s Award for
Innovation for a cross-sector fundraising and awareness campaign, was named to Edify
Edmonton’s Top 40 Under 40, and recently received the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal for
her work to advance equity.
